Utley (ankle) will likely have a part-time role upon his activation from the DL, the Philadelphia Daily News' Ryan Lawrence reports. When asked if Utley would be the team's everyday second baseman when he returned, general manager Ruben Amaro did not mince words. "Not for me he's not," Amaro said. "Cesar Hernandez is our best second baseman." Those words will likely sting Utley, but it's also difficult to argue against Amaro here, as Utley was performing at below replacement level prior to being placed on the DL. Either way, it's difficult to make a case for holding Utley in most formats, while Hernandez may be worth a long-term look.
