GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said Utley (ankle) may start hitting within a week, the Philadelphia Daily News reports. Utley was placed on the disabled list June 23 with inflammation in his right ankle. He hopes to return to the Phillies before the end of this month. Cesar Hernandez is filling in at second base while Utley is sidelined.
