Carrasco (2-2) was a tough-luck loser on Monday against the Royals, holding Kansas City to two runs over six innings. He allowed 10 hits and walked one while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the 10 hits allowed, Monday's start was Carrasco's best since coming of the disabled list in early June. The righty has been impressive when on the field this season, striking out 36 compared to eight walks this season. He'll make his next start Sunday against the White Sox.

Carrasco (2-1) turned in a losing performance against the Mariners on Wednesday night. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing four runs on five hits while walking one and striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Except for two costly hanging sliders to Mariners No. 9 hitter Chris Iannetta, Carrasco (hamstring) said he felt good in his second start since coming off the disabled list. The right-hander kept most of Seattle's lineup in check throughout the night, limiting their No. 2-7 hitters to a combined 1-for-18. Owners of Carrasco can be encouraged by the fact he went 1.2 innings and 21 pitchers deeper than he did in his previous start, displaying increased stamina and health. In six starts this season (33.2 innings), the Venezuelan 29-year-old holds a 3.48 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:7 BB:K. He'll toe the rubber next against the Royals on Monday.

Carrasco went five innings Thursday against the Royals, in which he allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk while fanning two. He only threw 78 pitches.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco's first start off the disabled list came with a short leash, as he didn't top the 80-pitch mark, and it also saw him allow a season-high total on hits with nine. Carrasco, however, limited the damage to only three runs, and even though his ERA rose to a very respectable 3.00 mark, he looked very good considering he hadn't pitched since April 24. He will look to do a better job in his next start against Seattle on the road Tuesday.

Carrasco (hamstring) has been activated off the disabled list and will start Thursday's game, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco hasn't pitched since April 24 and will be limited to around 80 pitches for Thursday's game. He made a rehab start Saturday at Double-A Akron and looked good in four innings of work. The Indians have optioned Mike Clevinger to Triple-A Columbus in order to make room for Carrasco.

Carrasco (hamstring) will be activated off the disabled list to start Thursday's matchup with the Royals, but will be limited to about 80 pitches, Zach Meisel of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians are being cautious with Carrasco's recovery, but it's clear that they believe he's ready to face more advanced hitters. He made one rehab start for Double-A Akron on Saturday, and posted a 2.25 ERA and 2.00 WHIP over 4 innings. Carrasco also got six strikeouts in the start, with just one walk.

Carrasco (hamstring) could rejoin the rotation as soon as Friday but might be limited to 80 pitches, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians could still opt to have Carrasco make one more minor league start before rejoining the rotation but a lot may depend on how well he responds to Monday's throwing session.

Manager Terry Francona said Carrasco (hamstring) would throw a side session Monday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco made his first rehab start at Double-A Akron on Saturday and checked out fine, tossing four innings and allowing one run on seven hits and a walk while striking out six. The Tribe will monitor him during Monday's session before determining whether another rehab outing is necessary or if he'll come off the DL later this week to rejoin the big-league rotation.

Carrasco (hamstring) will make a rehab start with Double-A Akron on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
This rehab start was initially expected to be with High-A Lake County, but it seems the Indians felt confident enough in the right-hander's recovery that they wanted him to face a bit more advanced hitters. Regardless of the rehab location, Carrasco seems to be making steady progress in his rehab process and could return to the Indians rotation within the next couple weeks, although things should become clearer following his rehab start Saturday.

Carrasco (hamstring) threw 38 pitches in a simulated game Thursday and is on track to throw a three-inning simulated game Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The talented righty resumed baseball activities last week by throwing a bullpen session, and he continued to ramp up his activity Thursday by pitching in a sim game. According to Bastian, Carrasco got through Thursday's session without any issues, so a rehab assignment could be on the horizon if he's able to get through Monday's sim game without incident.
