Brett Anderson, who left Friday's start against the Rays with a sprained right ankle, is awaiting x-ray results to rule out any further damage. Anderson said that he suffered the injury on the next to last pitch in the first inning. His ankle is currently in a light cast, and results of the x-rays won't be known until Saturday. Despite his immense talent, Anderson hasn't lived up to the hype due to him being perpetually injured throughout his young career.

Brett Anderson was hammered for seven earned runs over 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Tigers. Anderson took a comebacker off his left thumb last weekend and might have been struggling with his grip on Saturday afternoon. He surrendered eight hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks. The 25-year-old lefty will try for better next week against the Rays.

Brett Anderson (thumb) is expected to be fine for his next scheduled start. Anderson took a comebacker off the Thumb on Sunday, but he'll benefit from an extra day of rest between starts. The lefty boasts a 1.38 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 13 innings in his first two outings.

X-rays to Brett Anderson's left thumb were negative. Anderson was hit by a comebacker on his left hand Sunday, but was able to finish the game. While structural damage has been ruled out, it's not clear if Anderson is in danger of missing his next start. For now, continue to view this as a day-to-day situation.

Brett Anderson pitched well in a loss to the Mariners Monday, holding them to two runs while striking out six over seven frames. Anderson didn't give up any extra-base hits, but he walked four and the M's were able to scratch out a couple runs, which wound up being enough. It was a nice performance from the left-hander, though, and he could be in for a big year in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery.

Brett Anderson surrendered three runs -- two earned -- over 5 1/3 innings Tuesday in the A's 7-6 win over the Indians. Anderson gave up six hits and a walk, looking shaky for a second straight Cactus League outing. The good news is he seems to be fully healthy. There are big expectations for the 25-year-old left-hander this season.

Brett Anderson was rocked for six runs on eight hits and two walks over 4 2/3 innings against the Reds Thursday. He did strike out five, but Anderson surrendered a pair of homers while being saddled with a pair of three-run innings. The left-hander has appeared some in minor league games this spring, as he entered the day with only two Cactus League innings. He'll be a great fantasy option this year as long as he stays healthy.
