Brett Anderson took the loss in Tuesday's start against the Marlins, surrendering four runs (three earned) in six innings. Anderson allowed five hits and a walk while striking out two. The Marlins didn't particularly hit him hard, but had a fortunate sequencing of hits to eke out just enough runs to defeat the Rockies. While Anderson induces plenty of ground balls, it may be best to exercise caution when he makes his starts at Coors Field.

Brett Anderson allowed three runs on 12 hits over six innings against the Mariners on Saturday. The line isn't pretty, but the result wasn't awful for the southpaw. Anderson walked one and only struck out one, but he was aided by the Mariners going 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position on the day. He'll likely have one more start to sharpen up before the season rolls around.

Brett Anderson went six innings in Monday's start against the Padres, allowing five runs (three earned). This is Anderson's first mediocre outing of the spring. He entered Monday's start with a 1.80 ERA in ten innings. Against the Padres, he struck out five, but allowed eight hits including a two-run home run to Xavier Nady.

Brett Anderson allowed one run over five innings during Wednesday's start against the Reds. Anderson allowed five hits and struck out two, continuing his solid spring. Through three outings spanning ten innings, the lefty has only allowed two runs. With continued good health, Anderson should be a solid contributor for the Rockies. For fantasy purposes, he is a good streaming candidate for starts away from Coors Field.

Brett Anderson pitched well in Saturday's victory over the Athletics, allowing just one run on three hits over three strong innings. Anderson struck out one and didn't issue a walk in the solid effort against his former team. Provided he can make it through the spring healthy, which is no certainty given his injury history, the 26-year-old southpaw should begin the season in the Rockies rotation.

Brett Anderson held the Mariners scoreless over two innings in Monday's start. Anderson allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two in his first appearance of the spring. The Rockies acquired Anderson from the Athletics in December, hoping he can rebound after undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2012 and suffering an ugly right ankle injury last season. The ballpark change from Oakland to Colorado could be an impediment.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Rockies have acquired Brett Anderson from the A's for left-hander Drew Pomeranz and right-hander Chris Jensen. It's not the greatest return for Oakland, but they had no spot for Anderson and have been dangling him since the summer months. Anderson will try to revitalize his career in the thin air of Colorado after battling multiple injuries during his final years with the A's. He's set to earn $8 million in 2014 and carries a $12 million option for the 2015 season. This move is not ideal for his fantasy value.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post writes that the Rockies are revisiting the idea of trading for Athletics lefty Brett Anderson. The Athletics have recently cooled on the idea of trading Anderson, but talks continue to "percolate", Renck says. Anderson has had trouble staying healthy, starting just 43 games and making 11 relief appearances since the start of 2010. He'll earn $8 million in 2014 and has a 2015 club option worth $12 million with a $1.5 million buyout.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports was told by sources that teams believe the Athletics are "cooling" on the idea of trading Brett Anderson this week. It's still early in the week, so things could change if the Athletics receive a compelling offer. Of course, this also doesn't rule out the possibility that he'll be traded later this offseason. Despite his injury history and $8 million salary for 2014, Anderson is drawing plenty of interest.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Rockies' trade talks for Brett Anderson are "slowly fading." Renck notes that while the talks are "not over," there's "no traction as of now." It's not a surprise, as FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported over the weekend that the Rockies and A's had discussions involving the left-hander but were unable to find a match.
