Brett Anderson (finger) will throw live batting practice on Tuesday. Anderson has been slow to recover from a fractured left index finger but appears to finally be making some real progress. He'll have to build back up his stamina, so a return before the end of the first half might not be doable.

Rockies trainer Keith Dugger said Tuesday that Brett Anderson (finger) has a shot to rejoin the rotation in the first week of July. The Rockies gave Anderson a 4-6 week timetable when he went down with a fractured left index finger in mid-April, so obviously he hasn't progressed as quickly as hoped. But, he did get the pins taken out of his finger this week and should begin a throwing program soon.

Brett Anderson had the pins removed from his surgically-repaired left index finger Monday. Anderson will now be able to ramp up his rehab work. The left-hander has been on the shelf since mid-April and is obviously still at least a few weeks away from rejoining the Rockies' rotation.

Rockies transferred LHP Brett Anderson to the 60-day disabled list. It's merely a procedural move to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Chris Martin who was recalled from Triple-A on Friday. Anderson is sidelined until late May due to a fractured left index finger.

Brett Anderson underwent successful surgery Thursday on his fractured left index finger. Anderson had four pins inserted into the broken finger to stabilize it and allow for proper healing. The left-hander has already been placed on the disabled list and is expected to be out for the next 4-6 weeks.

Rockies placed LHP Brett Anderson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 13, with a fractured left index finger. Anderson suffered the injury on Saturday during an at-bat. He's expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, so the Rockies won't be counting on him until at least the end of May. Franklin Morales will go back into the rotation in Anderson's place.

Brett Anderson was diagnosed with a broken left index finger. No announcement has been made yet, but it looks like he'll require a trip to the disabled list. The Rockies, already hurting for rotation options, could turn back to Franklin Morales who was recently demoted to the bullpen.

Brett Anderson (finger) could be placed on the disabled list. Anderson was initially diagnosed with a bruised left index finger after having to leave Saturday's game with the injury, but he's feeling worse Sunday than expected. The southpaw will undergo an X-ray and a possible MRI before the Rockies decide whether they need to make a roster move.

Brett Anderson has been diagnosed with a contusion on his left index finger. Anderson suffered the injury Saturday during an at-bat and had to leave his start against the Giants after three scoreless innings. He is a left-hander, so it's possible that the contusion will force him to miss a turn in the Colorado starting rotation.

Brett Anderson left his start Saturday against the Giants after injuring his hand during an at-bat. Anderson had allowed just one hit -- and no runs -- over three solid innings before injuring himself on an awkward swing that resulted in a groundout. He was replaced by Tommy Kahnle. The Rockies should provide a status update shortly on the oft-injured left-hander.
