Andre Ethier could be scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a blister on the palm of his right hand.
The blister popped on Sunday and has exposed an area of raw skin the size of a quarter. Ethier took batting practice before the game with no apparent issues, but the Dodgers could play it safe and scratch him anyway.

Andre Ethier swatted a two-run homer in a losing effort against the Braves on Friday.
He finished the night 1-for-4 plus a walk. His two-run blast off Tommy Hanson in the sixth inning turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 Dodgers advantage, though they were unable to hold on. After a blistering start to the season, Ethier's pace has cooled considerably, though he's still hitting .288 with 12 homers and 70 RBI.

Andre Ethier went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Sunday's loss to the Padres.
Ethier has picked up right where he left off before his DL stint, going 5-for-11 (.455) with five RBI over his first three games in the second half of the season. While he's historically started off strong and faded over the second half of the season, the Dodgers will need his bat to remain hot if they expect to compete for a division title.

Dodgers placed OF Andre Ethier on the 15-day disasbled list with a strained left oblique.
The move was made retroactive to June 28, so Ethier will be eligible for activation immediately after the All-Star break. He is batting .291/.357/.491 with 10 home runs and 55 RBI in 75 games this season.

Andre Ethier still felt his strained left oblique during when hitting in the cage Tuesday and is out of the lineup again against the Reds.
It will be the sixth straight game he's missed. The Dodgers have to be thinking of putting him on the disabled list at this point since it's clear that Ethier isn't progressing as hoped. Juan Rivera is starting in right field against Johnny Cueto and the Reds.

Andre Ethier (oblique) is not in the Dodgers' lineup Monday.
It's the fifth straight game he's missed with a strained left oblique. The Dodgers remain confident that he'll avoid a DL stint, but with the All-Star break coming up, it's a little strange that they're not just shutting him down for a couple weeks and bringing him back at 100 percent for the start of the second half.
