Adam Eaton smacked the first walkoff home run of his career Monday against the Orioles. Eaton led off the bottom of the ninth inning after Brad Ziegler's blown save evened the score 6-6. The rookie outfielder jacked Darren O'Day's first pitch over the stands in right center to improve Arizona's record to 60-57. Eaton, currently riding a five-game hitting streak, is batting .360 in August, though he entered the month with a .192 batting average.

Eaton served as the designated hitter and had five plate appearances in all, including an RBI single, a hit-by-pitch, a walk and a sacrifice fly. This was his first game action since he suffered a setback with his left elbow back on May 20. It may take him a little while before he's ready to test himself in the outfield, but it looks like he could contribute with the Diamondbacks at some point during the second half.
