Adam Eaton will miss 6-8 weeks with a UCL strain in his left elbow.
Tough break for one of Rotoworld's favorite sleepers. It's not clear when the injury took place, but Eaton did make an early exit from Monday's game. As of now, he's expected back in mid-to-late May, but ulnar collateral ligament injuries can be tricky. With Cody Ross (calf) questionable for the start of the season, the Diamondbacks could have an outfield of Jason Kubel, Gerardo Parra and A.J. Pollock on Opening Day. Parra is officially worth owning in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.

Adam Eaton's early exit from Monday's game was not injury related.
Excellent news. Eaton reportedly walked off the field with a trainer, which naturally led to speculation about an apparent injury, but Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson just wanted to give him the rest of the day off following two at-bats.

Adam Eaton left Monday's Cactus League game with an apparent injury.
The exact nature of the injury isn't yet known. Eaton slid head-first into third base on a third inning triple, but he didn't show any signs of injury at the time. The 24-year-old has enjoyed an excellent spring and is gaining momentum as a fantasy sleeper, so hopefully it's nothing serious.

Adam Eaton went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in the Diamondbacks 11-9 victory over the White Sox Saturday.
Eaton is now hitting .405 this spring, doing nothing to temper the excitement surrounding the 24-year-old heading into the season. The outfielder stole 44 bases between Double-A and Triple-A last season and he's expected to hit atop the Diamondbacks lineup this year. If you had him as a potential sleeper heading into 2013, take note that his strong spring is making it less and less likely he'll be around in the late rounds of your draft.

Adam Eaton singled and ripped a solo homer in Tuesday's 9-4 Cactus League win over the Athletics.
Eaton's blast came in the fifth inning off of Arnold Leon. The 24-year-old is off to a blazing start this spring, picking up six hits in his first 13 at-bats. He has immense fantasy potential in 2013.

Adam Eaton went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
Eaton has looked impressive in his first two spring training games, and is expected to open the season as the Diamondbacks' regular center fielder. The 24-year-old batted .259/.382/.412 during his brief callup last year and has a .456 on-base percentage over parts of three seasons in the minors. He remains one of our favorite sleepers for 2013.

Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers said Tuesday that he would like Adam Eaton to emerge as the team's leadoff hitter.
"I would like to give it to Eaton, because of the speed he brings," said Towers. While Eaton has plenty of speed, he's also known as a very patient hitter, posting a .382 on-base percentage over 102 plate appearances with the Diamondbacks last year and a .456 on-base percentage over three seasons in the minors. He's quickly picking up momentum as a fantasy sleeper.

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Thursday that he plans on all of his outfielders getting 400-500 at-bats in 2013.
Now that Justin Upton has been traded to the Braves, the Diamondbacks project to have Adam Eaton in center field and Jason Kubel and Cody Ross in the corners, with Gerardo Parra rotating between all three spots. Eaton is the biggest winner in the deal from a fantasy perspective and should shoot up sleeper lists in the days ahead.

Adam Eaton (hand) hasn't had any setbacks in his offseason training program.
"It's going real well," Eaton said. "I got cleared right before Christmas and I've been hitting for probably about three weeks. There's no pain, no restriction of movement." Eaton is working his way back from a fractured right hand suffered in late September, and expects to be ready for the start of spring training. He could be forced to open the 2013 season at Triple-A Reno if the Diamondbacks don't trade Jason Kubel or Justin Upton before Opening Day.

Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic expects Adam Eaton to be the Diamondbacks' starting center fielder next season.
The D'Backs would like to trade Chris Young, who is due to make $10 million when you combine next year's salary with his buyout for 2014, clearing the way for Eaton. The 23-year-old batted .259/.382/.412 with two homers and two steals during a cup of coffee this year for Arizona after hitting .381/.456/.539 with seven home runs and 38 stolen bases at Triple-A.
