That's seven hits in three games for the speedy outfielder, adding up to a shiny .636 average to start the year. Although Eaton has the ability to contribute pop, speed and batting average at the top of Chicago's lineup, it's troubling that he's stolen bases at such a poor clip in his career so far -- he's just 40-for-63, a very poor 63 percent success rate. He also saw his strikeout rate spike along with his power last season, although Eaton still draws plenty enough walks to be an OBP asset.

Eaton's offseason shoulder surgery limited him to DH work for the first half off camp, but it looks like that trend will persist no longer. Eaton played left in this one, and he could shift from center to left on a full-time basis now that either Melky Cabrera or Avisail Garcia will likely DH.

Provided that Saturday's game goes without incident in the field, Eaton should be on track to start in center when the season opens April 4.

Jackson's OPS against lefties was more than 100 points higher than Eaton's in 2015, which could lead to Eaton failing to match his 689 plate appearances from last season. Only 185 of those came against lefties though, so it's not like the White Sox were freely playing him against southpaws.
