Eaton's removal was for precautionary purposes after he was struck on the forearm by a pitch, but it doesn't look like he's bound to miss significant time. X-rays on the forearm have already come back negative, and the outfielder is being listed as day-to-day. He could be back in the lineup as soon as Monday's series opener against the Tigers.

However, Eaton's fantasy value is tempered by his modest power, mediocre RBI and run totals, and surprisingly low speed contributions. Eaton stole 30-plus bases three times in the minors including 44 one year, but has never even cracked 20 as a major leaguer. With only 12 this year, that'll almost certainly be the case again.

Eaton's power is not quite at the same level it was last year, as he is slugging .408 compared to last season's career-high .431 rate, but he is still tied for fourth on the team with eight home runs. If this change holds, Eaton could be a better source of RBI than runs down the stretch.
