Eaton picked up his third straight season-opening multi-hit game Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk in a 2-1 loss to Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
That's seven hits in three games for the speedy outfielder, adding up to a shiny .636 average to start the year. Although Eaton has the ability to contribute pop, speed and batting average at the top of Chicago's lineup, it's troubling that he's stolen bases at such a poor clip in his career so far -- he's just 40-for-63, a very poor 63 percent success rate. He also saw his strikeout rate spike along with his power last season, although Eaton still draws plenty enough walks to be an OBP asset.
