Hicks (shoulder) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday marks Hicks' fifth straight game out of the lineup due to a sore left shoulder that he initially injured on a diving attempt in the outfield. As of now, it's unclear when Hicks will be able to get back into the lineup, but he'll have another off day Thursday before potentially returning for Friday's series opener in Boston. For Wednesday, however, Brett Gardner will get the start in left field for the Yankees.

Hicks (shoulder) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers, Jared Diamond of the Wallstreet Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks has been dealing with a sore left shoulder that sidelined him for the past three contests and he'll be held out again Tuesday. With the right-handed A.J. Griffin set to take the hill for Texas, Hicks likely wouldn't have been in the starting lineup anyway, as the Yankees will role out their regulars in the outfield in Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Carlos Beltran.

Hicks (shoulder) will not be an option off the bench against the Rangers on Monday and has not done more than mobility exercises and stretching, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks does not appear to be ready for game action just yet, even though he "has felt better." The outfielder is still dealing with lingering soreness from his injury that occurred on Friday against the Rays. Dustin Ackley will play right field Monday while Hicks remains sidelined.

EDGE Analysis
Hicks has been out since Friday with the ailment, and it doesn't appear that he's quite ready to resume game action with New York. Dustin Ackley will play right field Monday and could see some extra playing time with Hicks out.

Hicks (shoulder) won't be available to play Sunday against the Rays, Chad Jennings of LoHud.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks is still dealing with lingering soreness in his left shoulder that he first experienced in Friday's game, and while he noted that his condition has improved, the outfielder still hasn't been cleared to resume hitting. He's scheduled to travel with the Yankees to Texas for the team's series with the Rangers that begins Monday, so he could be back within the next couple of days.

Hicks (shoulder) is not in the lineup Saturday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks departed Friday's game with what the team called a sore shoulder and he continues to be considered day-to-day. At this point, the injury, which he suffered while diving for a fly ball, is not considered to be serious, and Hicks will likely be back in the lineup within the next few days.

Hicks left Friday's game with a sore left shoulder and is day-to-day.
EDGE Analysis
He suffered the injury diving after a Brandon Guyer RBI single in the fourth inning, and fortunately no tests are scheduled. With no tests on tap, it sounds like truly just soreness, and he could return as soon as later this series.

Hicks was a late addition to the lineup Wednesday and he'll bat ninth in the order against Oakland, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brett Gardner began experiencing some neck stiffness Wednesday afternoon and has since been scratched from the order. Hicks will take over in left field for Gardner and bat ninth against Oakland righty Kendall Graveman. If Gardner misses additional time beyond Wednesday, Hicks would be the logical choice to continue starting in left.

Hicks is not in Thursday's lineup against the Blue Jays, Bryan Hoch of MLB,com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks slotted into the starting lineup Wednesday, but Brett Gardner will replace him with right-hander Marcus Stroman on the hill for Toronto. Hicks punctuated his sluggish start with an 0-for-4 showing last evening, but he did get an RBI in the outing. That being said, Hicks' upside is limited while Gardner is taking most of the reps in left field.

Hicks is in the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays, batting second.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks will replace Brett Gardner in left field Wednesday with the Yankees facing left-hander J.A Happ. The versatile Hicks has shown some defensive versatility this season, logging starts in both corner outfield spots. However, Hicks does not have a clear path to an everyday role with the Yankees generally relying on Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Carlos Beltran in the outfield.
