Hicks (forearm) faced live pitching in the batting cages Tuesday afternoon, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
The increased activity adds further validity to GM Terry Ryan's comments earlier in the week that Hicks was progressing well in his recovery from the forearm injury. Hicks seems to believe he'll be ready to go when he's eligible to return from the DL on Monday, but it's unclear if he'll have a starting job waiting for him any longer after stud prospect Byron Buxton went 3-for-5 while moving into the leadoff role Monday night.

Twins GM Terry Ryan said Monday that Hicks (forearm) is "making progress," Brandon Warne of 105 The Ticket reports.
Hicks remains on the disabled list with a strained right forearm, but with a positive MRI and an increasing throwing program, it looks like he's headed toward a return. It remains questionable, however, whether Hicks will have a starting outfield job waiting for him.

Hicks (forearm) underwent an MRI that showed no major damage, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
Hicks has progressed to playing catch and swinging a bat in soft toss, both of which are excellent signs. Per Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Twins are hopeful that the outfielder will be able to return after another week without needing a rehab assignment.

Hicks (forearm) has been able to take soft tosses, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hicks was placed on the DL Sunday, and this is his first real sign of progress since the injury. However, even if he remain on schedule in his recovery, it is possible Hicks doesn't have a starting outfield job upon his return. It won't be apparent what his role is until he returns from the DL, so the priority for Hicks at this point will be getting healthy.

Hicks (elbow) was placed on the 15-day DL before Sunday's game at Texas, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hicks had a sore right elbow before Saturday's game and was scratched. He was able to do some work on the field before Sunday's game, so he may not be out long. However, there's a real risk he's lost his shot to keep the everyday center field or even outfield role with Byron Buxton called up Sunday. Hicks could play right or left field when he returns from the DL, but it's not clear if he'll still be in Minnesota's plans as a starter.

Hicks (elbow) has no ligament or tendon issues and will not undergo an MRI, Mike Barardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hicks swung a weighted bat Saturday morning and said he elbow "was pretty painful," which was not a good sign. He was a scratch from Saturday's game, but this news means he will likely be able to return when the pain subsides. If Hicks has to miss more time, Shane Robinson will likely fill his place.

Hicks was scratched due to feeling something in his right elbow while swinging, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
It's pretty likely this is more of a precautionary measure than a real injury, but definitely check back to make sure Hicks can play Sunday. With Hicks out, Shane Robinson would likely see the majority of center field starts.

Hicks was a late scratch for the Twins for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
There's no word if this was just a miscommunication or if Hicks wasn't feeling 100 percent. Shane Robinson will take over center field, with Hicks likely to return Sunday. This is Hicks' first day off since May 10.

Hicks went 1-for-2 with his first homer of the year, a walk, two RBI and a run in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.
A nice day for Hicks, who's now matched last year's homer total. He's been seeing everyday action in center for the Twins, but Wednesday aside, he hasn't generally exhibited much in the way of power or plate discipline, which will severely limit his fantasy value.

Hicks started in center field and went 2-for-4 with a double in Wednesday's win over Detroit.
Hicks has started in center field in both games since he as called up from Triple-A, going 3-for-8. It looks like he'll be given a chance to be the everyday center fielder with Jordan Schafer moving to a fourth outfielder role.
