Fasth will be in goal Tuesday versus the Predators. With Fasth guiding the Oilers to wins over the Sabres and Rangers in impressive fashion, coach Dallas Eakins will continue to ride the netminder while he's hot. Don't expect the run of success to last much longer, with Tuesday's road start against Pekka Rinne and the Central Division-leading Predators most likely spelling an end to that winning streak.

Fasth made 20 saves on 21 shots to lead the way to a 3-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday. With starter Ben Scrivens struggling in his past few starts, Fasth has been called upon to start three of the team's last four contests. He allowed four goals in a losing effort in the first of those three, but rebounded to allow just three goals combined in winning efforts in the next two. Scrivens is still the starter until further notice, but Fasth could be earning himself more playing time.

Fasth will make his second straight start Sunday versus the Rangers, according to the Oilers web site. Fasth played well in the Oilers 3-2 victory over Buffalo on Friday and with wins being difficult to come by for Edmonton they have decided not to break up a winning combination. This could also be a sign that the team will ride the hot goalie in net rather than just go with Ben Scrivens game in and game out.

Fasth stopped 26 of 28 shots for his win of the year Friday against Buffalo. A good bounce-back outing for Fasth, who gave up four goals on 25 shots Tuesday against the Flyers. Although Friday's win came against the lowly Sabres, it was the perfect confidence booster for Fasth, who is now 1-2-1 on the season. Now fully healthy, expect Fasth to see the bulk of the Oilers' starts going forward.

Fasth will start in goal for the Oilers on Friday, Oilers' play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports. Fasth was the likely candidate in net for the Oilers, who are on the back end of back-to-back games. He allowed four goals on 25 shots Tuesday against the Flyers, but will look for a better outing as he faces a struggling Sabres squad.

Fasth let in four scores on 25 shot attempts in Tuesday's loss to the Flyers. Making his first appearance since Oct. 14, Fasth put the Oilers in an early 1-0 hole and was never able to recover. It's not overly surprising that Fasth was rusty in his return from a groin injury, but he was at least able to finish the game on a high note, saving all 10 shots he faced in the third period. While Fasth figures to see the occasional start behind No. 1 goalie Ben Scrivens, he's not viewed as much of a challenger for the top spot on the depth chart at this time.

Fasth will be between the pipes for Tuesday's game against the Flyers, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports. Fasth will play Tuesday for the first time since Oct. 14, and he will take on a Flyers team that is averaging an even three goals per game through 11 contests.

Fasth (groin) was activated from injured reserve after Wednesday's game. The Oilers indicated earlier in the week that Fasth had been upgraded to day-to-day, and after he was able to get in a few days of practice in, it looks like he's been cleared to resume backup duties behind Ben Scrivens. Richard Bachman was reassigned to AHL Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Fasth (groin) took to the ice Sunday, according to the Edmonton Sun. Fasth will remain the backup to Ben Scrivens when he returns but should Scrivens start to slump the team won't be hesitant to give Fasth a shot at the starting job.

Fasth's groin injury is not as bad as originally thought. The team didn't offer a timetable for Fasth's return, but it's certainly a good sign that he was already back on the ice rehabbing. Richard Bachman will continue to serve as Ben Scrivens' backup while Fasth is on IR.
