Viktor Fasth allowed three goals on 26 shots in Edmonton's 3-2 loss to Anaheim Wednesday night. Fasth was perfect against his former team-mates in the first two periods. Then in the third period he allowed three goals and the Oilers lost the game. He now has a 2-2-1 record with a 2.83 goals-against average and .896 save percentage.

Viktor Fasth will likely get the call against his former Anaheim teammates on Wednesday night. The Oilers aren't slated to practice before the game, but it's expected that Fasth will start for the first time since Mar. 22.

Viktor Fasth (neck) was well enough to back up on Sunday. Fasth suffered a strained neck in practice on Monday when he collided with teammate Anton Lander. Fasth is 2-1-1 this season with the Oilers and has a 2.76 GAA and a .899 save percentage. He should get a few starts in the last couple of weeks of the season.

It was a bad night to be an Oiler goalie. Viktor Fasth allowed five goals on only 16 shots and was pulled at the 7:18 mark of the second period of the Oilers' 8-1 drubbing at the hands of the Flames Saturday night. Ben Scrivens who relieved Fasth did not fare much better allowing three goals on 15 shots. We sympathize with any poolies who had either Oiler goalie active Saturday night.

Viktor Fasth is projected to start for the Oilers on Saturday night. He was the first goaltender off the ice during the team's morning session and is expected to start against Calgary.

Viktor Fasth stopped 28 of 29 shots in Edmonton's 5-1 win over Nashville Tuesday night. It was Fasth's third start for the Oilers and his second win. He has allowed only five goals in those games. He now has a 2.43 goals-against average and .907 save percentage.

Viktor Fasth stopped 22 of 23 shots and two of three in the shootout, but it was not enough as the Oilers fell to the Red Wings 2-1 on Friday night. Fasth is 1-0-1 since joining the Oilers, not to mention overcoming his nearly three-month layoff from NHL hockey before suiting up for Edmonton. He is 3-2-2 this season with an .897 save percentage and 2.62 goals against average.

Viktor Fasth was able to bounce back from a rough start on Tuesday. Fasth was making his Oilers debut and playing in his first NHL game since Nov. 18. He allowed three goals over the span of just over four minutes in the latter half of the first period. That put Edmonton down 3-0, but Fasth was solid after that and the Oilers managed to win 4-3 in a shootout. "I had three goals early in the game . . . it couldn't get worse than that. I just had to try and fight my way in to the game," said Fasth. "A couple of bad bounces but me being away from hockey for a couple of months didn't help either. I could have done better but we got back from that, we battled through the game. It feels really good to have played the first game and to get back into it. I'm really glad I'm on the ice again." He's not expected to play too much behind Ben Scrivens.
