Travis Zajac (Achilles tendon) was excited to be back at practice with his New Jersey teammates on Wednesday. The rough estimate for his return is sometime before Dec. 25, but that isn't a guarantee. "That's the timetable we're on right now to, hopefully, get a game in before Christmas, but who knows?" Zajac said. "Right now, it's just getting back in shape and getting my timing and moving with the puck and thinking, and when that comes I'm sure it will be sooner than later." Stay tuned.

He was excited once he saw the Jets were coming back," teammate Zach Parise said. "Right away he was talking about being able to go back there and play. Travis Zajac is back in New Jersey after doing most of his rehab from a torn Achilles tendon in Winnipeg. "He has been released by the doctors," GM Lou Lamoriello said Wednesday. "He is in town. He skated yesterday morning here and also this morning and will continue to do that for the next week and a half to two weeks and, if everything is on schedule as it has been, he'll start practicing with the team in two weeks." "It's a moving target, an Achilles' injury, but there's light at the end of the tunnel," DeBoer said. "I think he's going to be back here some time before Christmas. Could be in three or four weeks.
