Hamonic (wrist) is out for the season, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamonic injured the wrist during a fight Thursday night versus the Flyers. He is currently in a soft cast and is only expected to play again this season should the Islanders make a long playoff run, something that seems highly unlikely at this point in time. This has been a disappointing season for Hamonic who missed 24 games earlier with a knee injury and will finish this campaign with a minus 21.

Hamonic (upper body) is not expected to suit up for Friday's game against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
With such a short turnaround between when Hamonic left Thursday's game and when he would need to be ready for Friday's contest, it's not exactly surprising that the 26-year-old is projected to miss his 28th game of the season. With just two points since returning from his extended absence in the middle of the season, Hamonic does not present enough offensive upside in all but the deepest of leagues anyway.

Hamonic will not return to Thursday's game in Philadelphia after suffering an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Hamonic's injury could have possibly occurred when he fought Dale Weise in the first period. Hamonic finished his night with 4:38 of ice time and a minus-2 rating and his status for Friday's game against the Devils is not immediately clear.

Hamonic scored and recorded four shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old broke a 34-game goalless drought, scoring for his first time since Oct. 30. Hamonic also hadn't posted at least four shots since Dec. 18. Clearly, he's not an offensive defenseman, but what's really killing owners is his career-worst minus-20 rating. Furthermore, Hamonic is averaging three fewer minutes per game this season than 2015-16. Owners are better off leaving Hamonic on the waiver wire.

Hamonic returned from a knee injury Friday night, picking up an assist over 21:18 of ice time in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
This was a pretty good outing for Hamonic, who had missed 24 games prior. He had the primary setup to Brock Nelson in the second period, and coach Doug Weight even sent him out for 1:41 on the penalty kill. Now that we know the defender is fine after the long layoff, he'll be safe to activate as a fantasy starter.

Hamonic (knee) was activated from injured reserve Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The blueliner has missed the last 24 games, so it'll be interesting to see how effective he is Friday night against the Blackhawks. In 35 games leading up to the injury, Hamonic produced 12 points, 43 hits, and 75 blocked shots, albeit while maintaining a career-worst rating of minus-14. Fantasy owners may want to take a wait-and-see approach here.

Hamonic (knee) is expected to miss at least the next three games for the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamonic is getting closer to a return and there was some hope that he could return to the Islanders on Thursday but he's not quite ready. The Islanders play Friday in Chicago and Sunday in Calgary as they are in the middle of a nine game road trip. The team is planning on having Hamonic back for Tuesday's tilt in Edmonton.

Hamonic (knee) is "50-50" to return for Thursday's game in Dallas, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamonic remains on injured reserve, but the Isles seem to be closely monitoring him as he inches closer to a return. A proven two-way commodity, Hamonic's absence was certainly felt this past Saturday, when the Blue Jackets crushed the Brooklyn team, 7-0. It's best to take a wait-and-see approach, as the 26-year-old rearguard has missed the past 23 games with his injury.

Hamonic (knee) was able to practice Monday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamonic has missed the past 23 games for the Islanders with the knee injury but seems to have turned a corner with his recovery and is expected to play Thursday in Dallas. He hasn't been his usual steady self on defense this season but if the Islanders are going to make a playoff push they will need Hamonic as he is the teams best defender and is usually targeted with being on the ice versus the opposing team's top line.

Hamonic (knee) remained back in Long Island as the team kicked off the first half of a nine-game road trip, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Doug Weight told reporters that he did expected Hamonic to meet them out on the road at some point with March 2 in Dallas a potential landing date. The blueliner has missed 20 straight games with this knee ailment, but has resumed skating and would appear to be on track to return soon. The first step will likely be joining his teammates for a practice session, even in a non-contact jersey, in order to start getting back up to speed.
