Hamonic (knee) is expected to miss at least the next three games for the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Hamonic is getting closer to a return and there was some hope that he could return to the Islanders on Thursday but he's not quite ready. The Islanders play Friday in Chicago and Sunday in Calgary as they are in the middle of a nine game road trip. The team is planning on having Hamonic back for Tuesday's tilt in Edmonton.
