Wilson was skating on the second line with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie during Thursday's practice, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Barry Trotz is shuffling his forward lines to try and spark the offense and is giving the burly winger a chance to grow his game while Andre Burakovsky gets a well-needed wakeup call. There's a real opportunity for Wilson here given that he has been called upon to tighten up his game to avoid further suspensions, so if he can be motivated with more ice time, there's a chance his offensive game might finally blossom. Fantasy owners shouldn't hold their breath, but Wilson is worth a speculation-add in standard leagues given the promotion.

Wilson's four-game suspension has come to an end.
EDGE Analysis
The Ontario native was handed a pair of suspensions for his illegal hits in two different preseason contests against the Blues. Look for Wilson -- who added seven goals, 12 assists and a whopping 239 hits last season -- to make his regular-season debut on the third line with Brett Connolly and Lars Eller in Friday's road tilt against the Devils.

Wilson has been suspended for four games for an illegal body check on St. Louis' Sammy Blais in Sunday's exhibition match.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was already handed a two contest ban for an illegal hit on Blues forward Robert Thomas earlier this preseason, so it isn't surprising that the league decided to assign the repeat offender a much harsher punishment this time around. The 23-year-old forward, who notched 19 points in 82 games last season, will be eligible to return to Washington's lineup Oct. 13 against the Devils.

Wilson will meet with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his hit on Sam Blais of St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson already served a two-game suspension for an illegal hit during the preseason -- also against a member of the Blues -- so don't be surprised to see the league dole out a harsh punishment. Depending on the length of the winger's ban -- Alex Chiasson could see his professional tryout agreement turn into a permanent contract.

Wilson (suspension) is back in the lineup for Friday's preseason tilt against the Hurricanes, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was handed a two-game preseason ban for a hit on Blues forward Robert Thomas, but he's served the penalty and should be ready to roll moving forward and available for the team's Opening Night tilt.

Wilson was suspended for two games for his hit on Blues forward Robert Thomas in Friday's preseason game.
EDGE Analysis
As noted in the report, this was the first official safety ruling made by former NHL enforcer George Parros, who was recently hired in as the new Head of the Department of Player Safety. Upon further review, it was confirmed that Wilson had more than a full second to avoid the hit on Thomas, who had lost control of the puck along the side boards before getting drilled. There will only be two games left on the preseason docket for Wilson by the time he's eligible to return.

Wilson has a hearing scheduled with the league Saturday for an interference call on Blues forward Robert Thomas in Friday's preseason game.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson leveled Thomas directly in front of the St. Louis bench after he appeared to have lost control of the puck. It will be interesting to see what the league has to say about the play.

Wilson scored the final goal in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The power forward is expected to contribute more offensively in 2017-18 following a strong postseason performance and the offseason departures of Marcus Johansson and Justin Williams. The 16th overall pick from the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is being considered for top-line duties alongside Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov which would be a huge boost to his fantasy upside this season. Such an opportunity, combined with his prowess as a PIM and hit machine could give the Toronto native a great deal of upside this season, so keep an eye on his role as the preseason wears on.

Wilson will not be eligible to be drafted in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young, physical, and cheap, Wilson will be staying with the Caps for the time being. The 23-year-old posted 19 points, 239 hits, and 133 PIM this season, finishing the season with a plus-9 rating. Washington knows what they're getting with Wilson, and that's a player that can play both ways and will be good for around 25 points for the next few years.

Wilson scored two goals and registered three shots on net during Wednesday's Game 4 win over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-year pro is up to three goals in the series and also received a promotion to the third line for Game 4. Wilson has been pigeonholed into a bottom-six role to start his career, but don't forget, he was a first-round selection and posted 23 goals and 58 points through 48 games in his final season in the OHL. He owns untapped offensive potential.
