Wilson was signed to a two-year, $4 million extension Thursday, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson had his most productive season with the Capitals with seven goals and 23 points in all 82 games. The rugged winger added 163 penalty minutes and 253 hits as well while logging 12:55 of ice time per game. With the addition of Lars Eller, Wilson should continue to have an impact in deeper leagues that recognize his fighting and hitting prowess in 2016-17 as he continues to develop his offensive game, but he may be a reach in standard leagues.
