Tim Thomas turned aside 26 of 29 shots in regulation in a 4-3 shootout victory Wednesday night. Thomas and the Bruins had a 3-1 lead going into the third period, but he allowed two goals on 10 shots to force extend the contest. Fortunately, Thomas saved all three shootout rounds he faced to get his 24th victory of the season.

Tim Thomas allowed three goals on 20 shots in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the New York Rangers Tuesday night. Thomas was outplayed by counterpart Henrik Lundqvist in this contest, as the bruins actually outshot the Rangers by a 42-20 margin despite dropping the decision. His record remains impressive at 23-11-0 and he's still one of the safest bets around.

Tim Thomas will play between the pipes Saturday afternoon. Thomas and the Bruins are looking to rebound after suffering a 6-0 loss to Buffalo on Wednesday. Tuukka Rask started in that game, but Thomas allowed three goals on 19 shots after Rask was pulled.

Tim Thomas decided to use his facebook page to make more political statements, but he doesn't want to talk about them. "I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom," Thomas said on Facebook. However, when asked about it following Thursday's practice, he said it has nothing to do with the Bruins and he's going to exercise his "right to remain silent." When it was brought up that Facebook is a public forum, Thomas agreed and said that the media has the right to ask questions, even if he won't answer them. However, when the press continued to ask questions on the subject, he threatened to cut the interview short and when they pressed on, he made good on his threat and walked off. We don't think this latest controversy will cause him to lose playing time or negatively affect his performance between the pipes. Bruins coach Claude Julien said that the team supports Thomas "as a player."

Tim Thomas allowed just one goal on 36 shots Sunday as the Bruins upended Washington by a score of 4-1. Thomas' record improves to 22-10-0 with the victory while his save percentage and GAA look better than they did before the day started as well. He May not make as many starts as other top netminders, but he's among the most valuable fantasy goalies anyway.

Tim Thomas blocked 30 of 33 shots for the Bruins en route to a 4-3 win over Ottawa Tuesday. Thomas must be very happy to have the focus shift back to his play on the ice rather than his off-ice antics. He continues to be one of the safest bets in the league.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has no intention of trading Tim Thomas. We're surprised the Thomas trade rumors got to the point where Chiarelli felt a denial was warranted. Thomas definitely created problems for himself when he decided to refuse to join his Boston Bruins teammates at the White House as part of their post-Stanley Cup celebrations. Thomas only made matters worse by saying that he did so because he felt the federal government had grown out of control, then attempted to avoid speaking about the issue further - which probably only served to make this an even bigger story. That all being said, Thomas is the reining Vezina Trophy winner, on a team contending for another Stanley Cup, and he's posted a 2.12 GAA and .933 save percentage this season. It would take something significantly bigger than refusing to go to the White House for the Bruins to drastically alter their team by trading away their star netminder just a couple months before the playoffs.
