Tim Thomas decided to use his facebook page to make more political statements, but he doesn't want to talk about them.
"I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom," Thomas said on Facebook. However, when asked about it following Thursday's practice, he said it has nothing to do with the Bruins and he's going to exercise his "right to remain silent." When it was brought up that Facebook is a public forum, Thomas agreed and said that the media has the right to ask questions, even if he won't answer them. However, when the press continued to ask questions on the subject, he threatened to cut the interview short and when they pressed on, he made good on his threat and walked off. We don't think this latest controversy will cause him to lose playing time or negatively affect his performance between the pipes. Bruins coach Claude Julien said that the team supports Thomas "as a player."
