Pearson will be suspended for the final two preseason games and the first two regular-season contests, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports. The winger is being disciplined for delivering a shot to head of Oilers defenseman Brandon Davidson on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The ruling by the NHL's Department of Player Safety is not all that surprising when you consider Davidson left that game with an apparent head injury and did not return. Pearson will be reinstated in time for a road game against the Wild on Oct. 18.

Pearson will be required to speak with the league following his ejection for an illegal check, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Monday.
EDGE Analysis
When Pearson will speak with officials from the league has yet to be determined, but it seems likely that he will miss some time for catching Brandon Davidson up around the head. The winger put up 36 points in his first full season in the league, and suspension aside, he stands a solid chance of improving upon that stat line this upcoming campaign. If he does indeed get suspended, the 24-year-old will likely be replaced in the lineup by Paul Bissonnette.

Pearson was ejected from Sunday's exhibition game against the Oilers following a high hit to the head on Brandon Davidson, Jamie Killingsworth of CTV Kitchener reports.
EDGE Analysis
The NHL's Department of Player Safety will review the incident. We won't jump to conclusions as to the level of punishment Pearson may receive, but it's worth noting that Davidson did not return to the game and that is sure to be a key consideration for the league.

EDGE Analysis
The two sides were locked in a low-scoring affair, but Pearson was able to find twine just 3:47 into overtime to get the Kings on the board in the series. He's tallied a point in all three playoff games and has found his way on the scoresheet in five straight, dating back to the regular season.

Pearson (personal) will be back in the lineup Thursday against the Jets, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson skipped Tuesday's contest for personal reasons, but it appears whatever forced him out is no longer an issue. He practiced alongside Nic Dowd and Tyler Toffoli on the team's second line, and will likely line up there for the evening's contest as well. He notched two points in the two games prior to the absence, but remains off the fantasy radar in the majority of season-long leagues. However, he can still be considered in daily lineups against a Jets club that's lost three of the last four games.

EDGE Analysis
Pearson now has 18 assists in 64 games after totaling just eight assists in 67 games heading into the 2015-16 campaign. The 23-year-old forward has been able to sharpen his playmaking skills while playing on an offensive-minded line with Vincent Lecavalier and Tyler Toffoli.

Pearson tallied a goal on three shots, four hits and a blocked shot in a 3-2 win over the Habs on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson now has goals in three straight, with four total goals in that span. In those three games, he's got a shot percentage of 66 percent, showing that he sure knows how to pick his shots. The 24-year-old is continuing what has been a breakout seasons thus far, and should continue to produce from the second line as long as he's on the ice.
