Steve Mason is looking forward to finally returning to the playoffs.
Mason hasn't participated in a postseason game since he was with Columbus in 2009. Now the Flyers have all-but made the playoffs and are battling for home ice advantage in the first round. "This is what we play hockey for," Mason said. "Situations where you are playing meaningful games this time of year. To be in the position we are [now] after the start we had to the season says a lot about this time. It's definitely exciting." Mason has been through a lot since his first playoff appearance. At the time, he was a promising rookie that went on to win the Calder Trophy. He's dealt with some terrible struggles since then, but has been solid with Philadelphia this season.
