Mason stopped all 46 shots he faced, but allowed two goals in the shootout in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Islanders. Mason was sensational in net, turning away 43 shots in regulation and three more in overtime to register his first shutout of the season. His team was unable to score themselves, so he still ended up with his third loss in four games, and now sits at 4-6-2. He's been turning in better performances of late, but consistently faces 30 or more shots a night.

Mason will start Monday's game against the Islanders, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Mason will take on the difficult task of slowing down the red-hot Islanders, and he'll likely face upwards of 30 shots once again. The Flyers' defense has been rather porous all season, and Mason has been on the wrong end of most games with a 4-6-1 record overall.

Mason claimed his fourth win of the season Saturday, holding the Blue Jackets to two goals on 22 shot attempts. Mason referred to the outing as the Flyers' best all-around effort of the season, as the team never trailed at any point and delivered sound play at both ends of the ice. The 22 shots represented the fewest amount that Mason had faced in his 11 full games this season.

Mason stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers. Mason dropped his second straight decision despite playing well, and now ranks fifth in the NHL with six regulation losses already. It certainly wasn't his fault though, considering Cam Talbot locked down the Flyers' offense all night and ended up recording the shutout.

Mason will start between the pipes for the Flyers on Wednesday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Mason allowed four goals on 38 shots in his last start Friday against the Blue Jackets. He now sits at 3-5-1 on the season with a 3.02 GAA and .911 save percentage. While his numbers are far from ideal, his backup (Ray Emery) has been even worse (.899 save percentage and 3.25 GAA), but the two will likely continue to both receive starts unless one gets hot in net.

Mason surrendered four goals on 38 shots in Friday's loss to Columbus. It wasn't a bad outing by any means for Mason, who was beaten three times on the power play by his former team. The 26-year-old suffered his first loss in four games Friday, dropping to 3-5-1 on the season. A positive is Mason grabbed another assist in the game -- his second point of the season. With the Flyers back in action Saturday against Montreal, expect the team to turn to Ray Emery for the start.

Mason is lined up to start Friday's game against the Blue Jackets, CSN's Sarah Baicker reports. Mason worked in the starter's crease during Friday's morning skate, which puts him on track to start Friday night. He will take on a struggling Columbus squad that will enter Friday night having lost nine straight games.

Mason held off a late Colorado rally to claim his third consecutive win Saturday night. Mason shut out the opposition for the first 40 minutes while the Flyers held a commanding four-goal lead, but the Avs offense awoke in the third period, scoring three times in a 10-minute span to make things interesting. The netminder would clamp down thereafter, however, finishing with 36 saves to keep his wining steak alive. Mason seems to have put his deplorable start to the season behind him at this point, as he's posted save percentages above .920 while making each of the last four starts for the Flyers.

Mason will be in the crease Saturday against the Avalanche, Tim Panaccio of CSNPhilly.com reports. It will be the fourth start in a row for Mason, which comes on the heels of backup Ray Emery's four consecutive starts. Based on the usage of his two goalies, it appears coach Craig Berube is inclined to run with the hot hand, and right now, it belongs to Mason. He's been victorious in two of his previous three starts, posting save percentages above .930 on all three occasions.
