Mason is reportedly slated to have his right knee scoped, csnphilly.com reports.
While GM Ron Hextall has not provided a medical update/timetable on Mason, based on the report, Ray Emery is poised to handle the bulk of the Flyers' workload in net while Mason is out, with Anthony Stolarz on hand to work in a backup role.

Mason suffered a lower-body injury in the second period of Sunday's game against the Capitals and will not return.
Mason had to be helped off the ice and into the dressing room without doing much on his own. The team has elected to give him the lower-body designation for now, but his status moving forward at this point is still a bit unclear.

Mason left during the second period of Sunday's game against the Capitals with an undisclosed injury, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Mason's injury could be serious, as he needed a lot of help to get to the dressing room. The injury came at an especially bad time for the Flyers, as his potential replacement, Rob Zepp, was injured in an AHL game Saturday night and could miss extended time. Mason's status is unclear at this point, but the team should provide an update at some point in the near future.

Mason will start in goal Sunday against the Capitals.
Mason has been good in each of his last two outings, allowing two goals while stopping 58 of the 60 shots faced between the two. He will look to keep things rolling Sunday as he faces a stiff Capitals' attack averaging 2.91 goals per game.

Mason saw his three-game winning streak come to an end Thursday, though he still played well, stopping 28 of 30 in a shootout loss to the Isles.
Mason continues to offer up strong play in nearly every outing, as he's been at .929 or better in seven straigth now and hasn't given up more than two goals since New Year's Eve. The Flyers still don't look like they're going to win a whole lot, but you can certainly count on Mason for strong ratios as long as he can stay healthy.

Mason stopped all 30 shots he faced in Saturday's shutout win over the Leafs.
It was the 25th shutout of Mason's career, as he has now won five straight games, stopping 155 of 161 starts in that span (.963 save percentage). Considering the Flyers are riding a season-high four-game win streak and are looking to get into the playoff race, the workhorse Mason could make for an underrated second-half fantasy play. Mason will be in net for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Mason is gradually inching closer to the .500 mark for the season, with his 4-1 record over his last five outings bringing him up to 10-12-6. He's looked strong since returning from a lower-body injury after the All-Star break, and should represent one of the better starting goalie options for Saturday's slate given the Leafs' ruinous state at the moment. Toronto has dropped eight games in a row, putting up a grand total of seven goals during that stretch.
