Mason suffered a lower-body injury in the second period of Sunday's game against the Capitals and will not return. Mason had to be helped off the ice and into the dressing room without doing much on his own. The team has elected to give him the lower-body designation for now, but his status moving forward at this point is still a bit unclear.
