Despite having four wins now on the young season, Mason hasn't been spectacular, as his 2.77 GAA and .901 save percentage will attest.

But scoring is up all over the NHL and Mason (and his owners) may need to settle for lower than expected stats. That won't be unique to Mason, but he's the classic average netminder whose numbers will take a hit because of the firepower in the league.
