Mason will defend the cage against the Capitals on Wednesday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite posting an outstanding 1.45 GAA in his last two starts, Mason came up short in both contests. The netminder continues to perform well in the crease, even while his teammates fail to provide any offensive support. The 28-year-old seems to have finally solidified his hold on the No. 1 job and is unlikely to be replaced when Michal Neuvirth (lower body) is cleared to return to action.

Mason saved 30 of 31 shots during Monday's shootout loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has gone 8-1-1 through his past 10 starts with a .930 save percentage and two goals or fewer allowed in eight of those games. After posting a solid .922 save percentage and 2.39 GAA over the previous two seasons with Philadelphia, Mason has found his form of late and checks out as a solid No. 2 fantasy goalie for your virtual squad going forward.

Mason will defend the crease Monday against the Predators, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason finally took a loss in his last start after personally winning each of his last eight starts. The veteran netminder will look to start a new streak Monday evening against a Predators club that has lost four of its last five contests and scored two or fewer goals in each of the losses.

Mason made 25 saves in a 3-1 loss to the Stars on Saturday afternoon. He allowed two goals.
EDGE Analysis
The loss snapped Mason's eight-game winning streak. His 13-9-3 record is solid, but his 2.79 GAA and .905 save percentage heading into Saturday are somewhat underwhelming.

Mason will go for his ninth win in a row in Saturday's matchup with Dallas, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been standing on his head of late with a .926 save percentage during his winning streak. Even when he has struggled, the netminder has gotten offensive support from his teammates to keep on rolling. The Stars appear to be close to finding their scoring touch -- 14 goals in their last five -- and could be a difficult matchup for the 28-year-old.

Mason won for the eighth straight start Wednesday, giving up three goals on 29 shots in a 4-3 victory over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
He hasn't always posted extremely great ratios over the course of his streak, with Wednesday a prime example, but Mason does still have a 2.33 GAA and .926 save mark over that span, so it's tough to complain. He could hardly buy a win over his first 17 appearances (5-8-3), but the Philly offense has developed into a juggernaut and Mason has overcome his early-season inconsistency.

Mason will work in net as Wednesday's road starter against the Avalanche, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason's on a career-best winning streak of seven games. According to the NHL's official media site, the 28-year-old backstop is only four victories shy of 190 in his career, and once he reaches that mark, he'll move up to the third spot in the history of the Flyers franchise. That feat is even more impressive when you consider that the first half of Mason's career was spent with the Blue Jackets. Colorado is weak offensively, ranking 28th with an average of 2.22 goals per contest, so keep rolling with Mason until the wheels fall off -- hey, that seems to be what the Flyers are doing.

Mason recorded his seventh-straight win Saturday in a 21-save, 4-2 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Mason hasn't lost a start since Nov. 25 and has improved both his goals-against and save percentage dramatically. He is 12-8-3 and is an auto-start right now.

Mason led his team out for pregame warm-ups Saturday, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports. This means he'll be the home starter for the matinee against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has rattled off six consecutive wins, representing a career-best streak. "When you're playing well, you want to keep going," he said in a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer. "There's also times when you don't play well and it's awesome to go right back at it. When you sit for a game or two or three, that's when it's most tough." Mason's last start wasn't pretty, as he surrendered five goals on 33 shots to the Oilers on Thursday, but we like his chances for success in this next one, especially given that the Stars are currently the worst defensive team in the league.

Mason was tagged for five goals on 33 shots Thursday against the Oilers, but he took home a 6-5 win.
EDGE Analysis
Mason came in on a five-game winning streak, and he stretched it to six despite delivering by far his ugliest outing in that span. He fell behind 2-0 by the second period, saw his team take a 3-2 lead, and then gave up three straight goals to fall behind -- only to get bailed out by the Flyers scoring three consecutive goals of their own in the third period. The season stats are still ugly, but Mason's offense has been quite supportive lately and he has no competition for starts with Michal Neuvirth (lower body) on IR.
