Mason gave up five goals on 17 shots before getting pulled from Sunday's 5-0 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
That's now two straight games where coach Dave Hakstol yanked Mason due to poor performance. Mason has yielded seven goals on the last 41 shots he's faced. After really good last two months, Mason is 1-3-2 with a .854 save percentage and 3.82 GAA to start January. Expect Michael Neuvirth, who started Saturday, to receive some additional work this coming week.

Mason will tend the twine Sunday against the Capitals, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has allowed seven goals between his last two starts in goal, but will get the call again Sunday in the second game of a back-to-back set. It will be a tough task to turn things around Sunday, as he'll prepare to square off against a Capitals club that's notched 11 goals in its last two games and has been the hottest team in the league of late.

Mason gave up four goals on 24 shots before being yanked from Thursday's eventual 5-4 shootout win against Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Neuvirth turned in perfect relief work (14 saves on 14 shots, no shootout goals), which should make the Flyers think twice about using Mason on a near-everyday basis as they have been. He's posted sub-.900 save marks in four of his last five appearances, allowing 16 goals on 127 shots in that span, and Mason hasn't won a game since back on Dec. 21.

Mason will tend the twine for Thursday's matchup with the Canucks, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason's tail dive has stretched to seven games, as he has gone 0-5-2 with a 3.52 GAA. Vancouver have been surging of late, winning six of their last 10 appearances, which doesn't bode well for the netminder righting the ship. If Mason continues to struggle, the Flyers may be forced to go back to Michal Neuvirth, who at least has a marginally better win percentage, albeit in a significantly smaller sample size.

Mason gave up three goals on 29 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
All three tallies came in the second period, capped off by Evander Kane's goal with just nine seconds left in the frame. That's now seven consecutive losses for Mason (five of those in regulation), and he's given up 20 goals on just 150 shots in that span -- an .867 save mark. The good will Mason built up among fantasy owners with his December winning streak has clearly faded, as his season stats have withered back to ugly status: a 2.80 GAA and .903 save percentage.

Mason will start between the pipes in Tuesday's road game against the Sabres, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has struggled of late, posting an abysmal 0-4-2 record while maintaining an ugly 3.59 GAA and .860 save percentage over his last six appearances. The 28-year-old backstop will look to get back on track in a highly favorable road matchup with a Sabres team that's only averaging 2.11 goals per game at home this season, 29th in the NHL.

Mason played well, allowing just two goals on 25 shots but fell to the Blue Jackets 2-1 in overtime on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a very strong effort, but Mason and the Flyers came up short in overtime. The loss extends his losing streak to six and during that stretch, Mason owns a .860 save percentage and 3.59 GAA. Although he did look better Sunday, don't be surprised if Michal Neuvirth, who just returned from a lower-body injury, receives some work this week.

Mason will defend the cage against host Columbus on Sunday, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason will look to snap a five-game losing skid, having posted an unsightly 4.05 GAA over that stretch. The guy has found his way into 15 games since the beginning of December, so it's possible that he simply wore out both physically and mentally. Complementary goalie Michal Neuvirth made his long-awaited return from a lower-body injury Saturday night versus the Lightning, so that should take some pressure off Mason moving forward.

Mason allowed four goals on 27 shots during Wednesday's loss to New York. It was his fifth consecutive loss.
EDGE Analysis
During the losing skid, Mason has allowed 15 goals with an .844 save percentage. It's a stark contrast to the netminder that went 9-1-1 with a .932 save percentage and 2.12 GAA over his prior 11 outings, and Philadelphia was facing the Rangers on the wrong end of back-to-back games Wednesday. Considering the ups and downs of Mason's season to date, it isn't out of the question to try and roll with the highs and fade the lows because he's running extremely hot and cold.

Mason will tend the twine Wednesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has now lost four straight contests in net, but has played pretty well overall since taking over the undisputed starting role following Michal Neuvirth's lower-body injury. Neuvirth was activated off injured reserve Tuesday, potentially limiting his future workload a bit more, but he's likely earned the right to remain the starter for the time being.
