Sean Avery has successfully cleared waivers. That's hardly a surprise, given that he's previously cleared normal and re-entry waivers this season. If for some reason you have him, and you're not in an incredibly deep league, you should feel safe to dump him.

Sean Avery is slated to lineup with Brian Boyle and Brandon Prust on Saturday. Seems like the Rangers are truly going with a checking line in this game. The combination of grit and physicality on that line is frightening. It will be interesting to see how the Rangers mesh with the outspoken Avery. Pay special attention to this one as New York may have to answer to their fans if Avery is a bust.
