Sean Avery has successfully cleared waivers. That's hardly a surprise, given that he's previously cleared normal and re-entry waivers this season. We wouldn't rule out the possibility of a team acquiring Avery for a playoff push closer to the trade deadline when he'll have a reduced prorated cap hit for this season, but that's not reason enough to hold onto Avery in standard leagues. If for some reason you have him, and you're not in an incredibly deep league, you should feel safe to dump him.
