Sean Avery will play in his first game of the 2011-12 campaign on Saturday. Avery started the season in the minors because, in the words of Rangers coach John Tortorella, the Rangers "have better players." Even after the team called him up on Tuesday, Avery was made a healthy scratch on Thursday. He'll have some fantasy value if he can re-establish himself as one of the Rangers' regulars, but it looks like that will be an uphill battle.
