Sean Avery viewed Monday's win over the New York Islanders from the press box, as a healthy scratch, for an eighth straight game. Avery, along with Erik Christensen, is a candidate to be demoted to the minors when Wojtek Wolski is ready to return from a groin injury. He has three assists and 21 penalty minutes in 15 games this season. Avery and Christensen, who has been scratched for four consecutive contests, would have to clear waivers before going down to the AHL.
