Darling stopped 32 of 34 shots in Thursday's 3-2 edging of the Bruins. Staked to a 3-0 lead a little over midway through the game, Darling ended up giving back a couple goals, but held on tight to end up with his fourth conseucutive victory and first-star honors. He should continue to be an excellent option in net while Corey Crawford (foot) remains out -- Crawford's only just started skating and is reportedly a long shot for this weekend, so Darling could make another couple starts before the Blackhawks are faced with the decision of whether to send him or Antti Raanta back to the AHL.

Darling is lined up to start Thursday's game against the Bruins, CSN's Tracey Myers reports. Darling will look to stay hot after giving up just three goals in his last two starts -- both victories. Darling will start his third straight game Thursday and has impressed in his limited opportunities this season, but he could be headed back to AHL Rockford soon with Corey Crawford (foot) nearing a return.

Darling helped the 'Hawks to their seventh straight win Tuesday, stopping 22 of 24 and two more in the shootout in a 3-2 victory over the Devils. Isn't it nice to have Chicago's stars on your side? Darling got help from Duncan Keith's late-third-period goal to tie the game, then Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane scored for him in the shootout. He's been outstanding in four of his first five NHL starts, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him pick up several more before Corey Crawford (foot) is ready to return, though Antti Raanta has also been excellent recently.

Darling stopped all but one of the 33 shots he faced in Saturday's win over the Predators. Oh! Darling, what an effort. The 25-year-old was spectacular Saturday, advancing to 3-1-0 on the season with a .943 save percentage and 1.74 GAA. With starter Corey Crawford (left leg) out, Darling has temporarily taken on the backup role behind Antti Raanta. While it's unlikely he sees much more action, Darling has proven that he is a reliable fantasy option whenever he gets the nod.

Darling will start in goal Saturday against the Predators. Darling will take the ice in favor of Antti Raanta, who appears to be getting a regular day of rest. Darling owns a 2-1 record and 1.98 GAA over three starts this season.

Darling is expected to start in goal Saturday against the Predators, Judd Sirott of 720 WGN reports. Friday's start was the second in three days for Antti Raanta, and it sounds like coach Joel Quenneville thinks he deserves a breather. Thus, the door is open for Darling to step in for his fourth start of the season. Darling allowed just two goals in his first two starts but then gave up four goals on 32 shots against Ottawa his third time out.

Darling was recalled from Rockford of the AHL on Tuesday to backup Antti Raanta for Wednesday night's game against the Blues, the Rockford website reports. Darling is recalled after Hawks' starting goalie Corey Crawford went down with an injury on Tuesday. The Chicago area native was in goal for the Blackhawks earlier this season and posted a 2-1-0 mark with a .933 save percentage and a 1.98 goals against average in three games. He has tallied an 8-2-1 record, .929 save percentage and 2.05 goals-against average in 11 games with Rockford this season.

Darling was officially sent down to AHL Rockford on Monday, ESPN Chicago reports. Darling was recalled to the Blackhawks to allow Antti Raanta to get a few starts in the AHL. Unless Corey Crawford or Raanta get injured again this season, don't expect Darling to see much more time with Chicago. He has played well this season in the AHL, posting a 5-2-0 record in seven appearances and a .935 save percentage.

Darling, who was recalled this weekend from Rockford of the AHL, will probably be sent down later this week as the Blackhawks bring up Antti Raanta from Rockford, the Associated Press reports. Darling did not see time in goal on Sunday as Corey Crawford continues to get most of the starts. It was a surprise when the Blackhawks sent Raanta down to Rockford last weekend and brought up Darling from Rockford, but it appears the Hawks were just looking to give Raanta some time in net at Rockford. While Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville said specifically that Darling was not going down to Rockford, the team is not going to carry three goalies especially with Crawford healthy. If Crawford stays healthy, the Blackhawks could make this move a few times this season especially when there is a dearth of back-to-back games where Quenneville usually plays the backup goalie in one of the games.
