Darling will be between the pipes in Saturday's tilt against the Islanders, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Corey Crawford got the start in net in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Islanders, so it's no surprise that the Hawks are opting to roll with Darling in the second game of the back to back contests. Darling was a fantastic second option for Chicago last season, posting a 9-4-0 record with a 1.94 GAA and .936 save percentage.

Darling turned away 22 of 23 shots in Friday's 5-1 preseason win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Darling proved to be a fantastic secondary option last year for the Hawks, which was reaffirmed with Friday's outstanding performance against the Habs. He'll open the season as Crawford's backup, but could get more work than the average backup goaltender considering his recent history of strong performances.

Coach Joel Quenneville announced Monday that Corey Crawford, not Darling, would start Game 1 of the Blackhawks' second-round playoff series against the Wild, CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers reports.
After Crawford delivered substandard performances in the first two games of the first-round matchup with the Predators, Darling got the call in Game 3 and temporarily solidified himself as the team's primary netminder by winning his first two starts. However, following a poor showing in Game 5, Darling was blitzed for three goals on 12 shots in the first period of Game 6, resulting in Crawford coming on in relief. Crawford stopped all 13 shots he faced the rest of the way, then watched as the Blackhawks overcame a deficit to steal the series. Quenneville will thus decide to ride Crawford while he's on the upswing, but it might only take one bad start from him before Darling's number is called again.

Darling was pulled in Saturday's Game 6 against the Predators after giving up three goals on 12 shots.
A miserable night for Darling, who appears to have returned to his role as team backup. After the 26-year-old was yanked, former starter Corey Crawford entered the game in relief, stopping all 13 shots he faced to help the Blackhawks defeat the Predators 4-3 and move on to Round 2. While it's likely the more experience Crawford starts Game 1 of the second round, don't be surprised if Darling sees more playoff action in the event Crawford struggles once again.

Darling will get the start in net in Game 6 against the Predators on Saturday, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
Despite having given up four goals on 28 shots in Game 5 on Thursday, the Hawks will stick with Darling for Game 6 on Saturday. It's not a huge shock, however, as Darling's poor numbers can largely be attributed to shaky defensive play rather than poor goaltending. Regardless, he'll look to post a bounce back performance on Saturday.

Darling gave up four goals on 28 shots to get stuck with a 5-2 loss Thursday in Game 5 against Nashville.
The 'Hawks came in smelling blood with a 3-1 lead, but the two teams were locked in a 1-1 tie for much of this game until Nashville broke through with three unanswered goals against Darling in the first 3:14 of the third period. That might be enough to give coach Joel Quenneville some ideas about going back to Corey Crawford for Game 6 back home in Chicago.

Darling is slated to start Thursday's road game against the Preds, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
On the heels of his effort in Tuesday's 3-2 triple-overtime win in which he racked up 50 saves, the Hawks will unsurprisingly stick with Darling, who currently has the hot hand, while helping Chicago to a 3-1 series lead in the process.

Darling turned in a 50-save masterpiece Tuesday in Game 4 against the Predators, ending up with a 3-2 triple-overtime victory.
If there was any question about who Chicago's starting goalie is, it's gone now. Darling was outstanding when called upon in the regular season, and now the 26-year-old rookie is starring in the playoffs. He's won all three games in which he's appeared in this series, allowing just four goals despite facing a whopping 131 shots in that span.

Darling is slated to remain in net for Chicago in Tuesday's Game 4 against the Predators, Mark Lazerus of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.
It's not a big surprise that the Hawks will stick with Darling after he stopped 35 of 37 shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Preds, though if his game goes cold at any point as the series progresses, Corey Crawford remains a candidate re-enter the team's starting netminding mix.

Darling stopped 35 of 37 shots in Sunday's Game 3 win over the Predators.
Darling turned in another impressive performance after his heroics in Game 1 as he's now turned aside 77 of the 79 shots he's faced in this series. With the win and the strong showing in net, coach Joel Quenneville will likely turn to Darling for the starting nod again in Tuesday's Game 4.
