Darling stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief of Corey Crawford Friday against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford was pulled after giving up four goals on 20 shots and took the loss on the night. Darling, who was pulled in his last appearance against Boston, has been a good backup option this season, posting a 6-5-2 record with a .914 save percentage. Crawford has been red-hot prior to Friday's mishap, so don't get any ideas about Darling stealing his crease time. The 27-year-old still makes for a solid spot start whenever the workhorse Crawford gets given the night off.

Darling stopped just 21 of 25 shots Thursday in a 4-2 road loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Patrice Bergeron got him just 1:18 into the game, and things didn't get much better from there. Although this was a relatively rare dud for Darling, it was also a rare start -- Corey Crawford's backup doesn't see the net unless the Blackhawks play back-to-backs, which they did Wednesday and Thursday.

Darling was named the road starter for Thursday's game against the Bruins, Eric Lear of Blackhawks TV reports.
EDGE Analysis
A recommended strategy in daily fantasy hockey is to reach into the bargain bin and grab a goalie who plays for a great team as the No. 2 option but gets the rare nod that night. That way, you have a greater chunk of change to spend on your skaters. Darling meets the aforementioned conditions Thursday, and he's been fantastic over his last four games, yielding just five goals in that span. Facing the Bruins isn't ideal as they average 3.02 goals per game, third in the league, but that's slightly offset by the fact that the 'Hawks are just three spots behind in that category.

Darling stopped eight of nine shots after entering in the third period of Sunday's loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Starter Corey Crawford had a rough outing, conceding four goals in the opening two periods, so Darling entered for the final frame. Crawford has been a bit shaky of late, but he's been mostly terrific for the rest of the season, so Darling figures to remain seeing limited action.

Darling turned aside 35 of 37 shots in Monday's win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
Darling got plenty of offensive help in this one, as the Blackhawks led 7-0 at one point, but he turned in a strong performance and carried a shutout for over 51 minutes. The 27-year-old has proven to be a reliable option when called up, but he likely won't see too many opportunities down the stretch sitting behind Corey Crawford.

Darling will guard the crease Monday against the Maple Leafs, Eric Lear of Blackhawks TV reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite receiving limited chances between the pipes this season, Darling has had some success in that role, currently holding a 5-4-2 record. He set aside all 14 shots he faced in relief of Corey Crawford last Thursday, and will finally get his first shot in net Monday since Jan. 23 when he allowed four goals on 32 shots. Darling will face a beaten down Maple Leafs club (seven forwards listed as injured), providing him a good chance at another victory, but he'll likely continue receiving few opportunities the rest of the way.

Darling came in for Corey Crawford at the start of the second period, allowing no goals in a 4-2 loss to the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Darling saved 14 in his relief effort, shutting out the Stars' offense that bombarded Crawford in the first period. The 27-year-old has been decent in the crease, but barring an unforeseen change, he'll be back on the pine Saturday against the Ducks.

Darling gave up four goals on 32 shots in Friday's loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
It was a tough night for Darling, who saw his team get shutout by Roberto Luongo and the Panthers. Darling drops to 5-4-2 on the season with a .911 save percentage. He's only made 12 appearances this year, but the 27-year-old is a dependable backup who you can usually rely on whenever Corey Crawford gets the night off.

Darling will work between the pipes as the road starter Friday night against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
As the backup goalie behind Corey Crawford, Darling has been starting about once every five games on average. He's 5-3-2 with a 2.45 goals-against average and .915 save percentage and is likely to be a bargain in daily formats since he's the No. 2 netminder in Chicago. While Florida is ranked first in the Atlantic Division, the Panthers are just average when it comes to putting the puck in the net at 2.52 goals per game.

Darling stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 4-1 win over Toronto on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
That's three straight wins for the Blackhawks' backup, who has only gotten into 11 games this year behind workhorse Corey Crawford. Darling's 2.45 GAA and .915 save percentage on an elite Chicago team make him an worthy spot-start option whenever head coach Joel Quenneville rolls him out there.
