O'Reilly (oblique) skated on the top line with Matt Moulson and Kyle Okposo Wednesday morning, ahead of a home contest against the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
All signs point to O'Reilly returning for the evening's contest, though if possible, fantasy owners with stock in the playmaking pivot should wait to see him make it through pregame warm-ups before activating him. The Sabres have lost three of five games since he's been out, but the team was able to edge the Penguins and Flames in the last two.

O'Reilly (oblique) will not suit up against Calgary on Monday, Bill Hoppe of the Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Reilly will miss his fifth consecutive start while dealing with this oblique injury. The center told reporters that "next game is very doable", John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports, indicating that he might be ready to return for Wednesday's matchup with Detroit. Look for an update from the team once the 25-year-old is cleared to return to action.

O'Reilly (oblique) did not end up playing in Saturday's shootout win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
While O'Reilly is thought to be getting close to a return -- something the low-scoring Sabres desperately need -- it was his brother Cal that played the unlikely hero Saturday in the surprise win over the Stanley Cup champs. Ryan has a chance to return to action next week, and we'll check in on his status Monday ahead of Buffalo's home match vs. Calgary.

O'Reilly (oblique) is active for Saturday's game against the Penguins, John Vogl of buffalo news.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Reilly missed four of the last five games recovering from an oblique injury but is set to make his return to the lineup for his 14th contest this season. The 25-year-old center is averaging a career-high in ice time (21:46) and so should get plenty of opportunities to match the 60 points he produced during the 2015-16 campaign, pending he can stay healthy the rest of the way.

O'Reilly (oblique) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The forward has missed four of the Sabres' last five games with this oblique injury, but there's a slim chance he comes back Saturday. If he comes back, he will be in a position to be a solid contributor, averaging 21:46 minutes per game. He has nine points in 13 games, showing he's made the most of his minutes when healthy.

O'Reilly's injury has been reclassified as an oblique problem and he's at about 70% health right now, ruling him out of Thursday night's contest against the Lightning, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
At this point, there hasn't been an official timetable given for O'Reilly's return so it's tough to say when he'll return to the lineup for sure. This will be the third consecutive game he misses to the injury after aggravating it against the Devils on Nov. 11, so the Sabres might want to take their time and make sure he gets healthy for sure this time. Look for Sam Reinhart and Johan Larsson to step up while O'Reilly remains out.

O'Reilly (abdomen) isn't expected to play Thursday against Tampa Bay, Bill Hoppe of the Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is terrible news for Buffalo, as the Sabres have now lost five consecutive games, and will likely once again be without their second-leading scorer in a tough home matchup with a hot Lightning team allowing an average of 2.56 goals per game on the road this season, 10th in the NHL. O'Reilly should be considered doubtful for Thursday's contest, but the Sabres will likely provide confirmation on his status ahead of puck drop.

O'Reilly (abdomen) will not play Tuesday against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
This is bad news for a Sabres team that has struggled against the Blues in recent years and already lacks depth down the middle with Jack Eichel (ankle) yet to make an appearance this season. The exact extent of O'Reilly's ailment is unknown, but he did aggravate it last Friday against New Jersey. Sam Reinhart will remain the team's top-line center, while AHL call-ups Evan Rodrigues and Nicholas Baptiste will fill the remaining holes. O'Reilly is considered day-to-day at the moment.

O'Reilly (mid body) is still considered day-to-day and could miss his second straight game against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
O'Reilly was a late scratch Saturday against New Jersey, and with the Sabres expected to make a few call-ups from AHL Rochester, it's possible he misses Tuesday's game. He's Buffalo's undisputed No. 1 center, averaging 21:46 TOI per game with nine points in 13 games, and against a deep St. Louis team his presence will be sorely felt. The Sabres have been ravaged by injuries this season, and thus far with so many players coming in and out of the lineup have not been able to establish much chemistry beyond Johan Larsson's line.

O'Reilly (mid body) will miss Saturday's game against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
This was a relatively late announcement, which leads us to believe that the Sabres gave O'Reilly a thorough evaluation before ultimately deciding that he'd be unfit to play Saturday. His absence will necessitate Sam Reinhart moving to the center spot, and Cole Schneider, a recent call-up, should round out the fourth line. O'Reilly's next chance to return will be Tuesday for a road match with the Blues.
