This was a relatively late announcement, which leads us to believe that the Sabres gave O'Reilly a thorough evaluation before ultimately deciding that he'd be unfit to play Saturday. His absence will necessitate Sam Reinhart moving to the center spot, and Cole Schneider, a recent call-up, should round out the fourth line. O'Reilly's next chance to return will be Tuesday for a road match with the Blues.
