Datsyuk scored a power-play goal, tacked on an even-strength assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's win over the Stars. That's his third consecutive two-point effort and fourth in five games now, so Datsyuk is officially white-hot now that he's gotten over the groin injury that was dogging him for a while there. He owns a sparkling 11 goals and 19 points in 15 games this year -- a slightly higher scoring rate than that of Sidney Crosby and Jake Voracek, the NHL's co-leaders in points.

Datsyuk netted a pair of goals, one on an empty net, to help secure Sunday's 5-3 win over the Canucks. Datsyuk's eighth and ninth goals of the season helped him improve to 15 points through 13 games. As long as he's healthy, the 36-year-old is proving he can still play at about a point-per-game pace.

Datsyuk notched two goals in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Flyers. Wednesday's game was Datsyuk's first since Nov. 16 due to a nagging groin injury, but the center proved once again that he's still an elite fantasy producer when healthy. His second goal was also the game winner, and moved his point total to 13 through 11 games this season.

Datsyuk (groin) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Flyers, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. After returning to practice Tuesday, Datsyuk was back on the ice for Wednesday's morning skate, participating fully in drills. He'll find himself outside of a top-six role following a four-game absence, as he's set to skate with Stephen Weiss and Darren Helm on the team's third line. The arrangement won't necessarily resulted in decreased minutes for Datsyuk, but his scoring opportunities might not be quite as bountiful while he skates with lesser linemates.

A decision on whether or not Datsyuk (groin) will play Wednesday will be made after the Red Wings' Wednesday morning skate, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Datsyuk practiced Tuesday and saw action on the power play, which hints at him playing Wednesday. However, the Red Wings will wait to see how he feels on game day before making a final call on his availability.

Datsyuk (groin) did not practice Monday, and is expected to miss Monday's matchup with the Senators, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Datsyuk's groin injury just won't go away, and is starting to diminish his fantasy value. He's still an elite player when healthy, having recorded five goals and six assists in 10 games, but his health certainly needs to be monitored.

Datsyuk (groin) has been ruled out from playing Saturday against the Maple Leafs, Ted Kulfan of the Detroit News reports. There was some hope that Datsyuk might suit up Saturday after he was able to get in a skate Thursday morning, but it appears the forward still needs some additional time to get back to full health. He'll miss his third straight game with an injury and turn his attention to returning Monday against Ottawa.

Datsyuk (groin) skated on his own after Thursday's morning skate, MLive.com's Ansar Khan reports. Datsyuk was ruled out from playing Thursday against the Jets, but his involvement on the ice in some capacity suggests he could be eyeing a return to the lineup Saturday against the Maple Leafs. The center would likely have to get in a practice Friday or take part in Saturday's morning session before he's deemed ready to go.

Datsyuk (groin) wasn't on the ice for morning skate and appears set to miss Thursday's game against the Jets, MLive.com's Ansar Khan reports. Though Datsyuk is traveling with the team on their two-game road swing, he probably won't be a lineup option for the Red Wings until he resumes skating with the team. The groin injury has proven bothersome to Datsyuk all season, but hasn't hindered his production when he's been healthy enough to play. Datsyuk has five goals and 11 points over 10 games.

Datsyuk will travel with the Red Wings to both Winnipeg and Toronto, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. Datsyuk hasn't been placed on injured reserve, meaning he is likely close to returning. The fact that he is on the road trip with the team further indicates that. He returned last Friday but likely suffered a setback as he missed Tuesday's contest. It may be an injury he will need to battle with throughout the season.
