Datsyuk (lower body) won't play Sunday against the Blues, Brendan Savage of MLive Media Group reports.
Datsyuk was scheduled to miss the last two contests followed by an evaluation again Saturday. It appears that evaluation wasn't as promising as first hoped, and he'll sit another one out Sunday. His next chance to rejoin the lineup will come Tuesday against the Coyotes. Riley Sheahan is the top candidate to dress in his place once again Sunday.

Datsyuk is nursing a lower-body injury and will miss the Red Wings' next two games, set for Thursday and Friday, Chuck Pleiness of the Macomb Daily reports.
Datsyuk likely sustained the injury at some point during the Red Wings' back-to-back set over the past weekend, as he logged well below his normal amount of ice time in both contests. At this juncture, coach Mike Babcock doesn't believe Datsyuk's injury is more than a day-to-day situation, as he may only need a few days off before returning to action as soon as Sunday against the Blues. Riley Sheahan is expected to slide into a top-six role during Datsyuk's absence.

Datsyuk was credited with an assist in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Rangers.
Datsyuk has been on an impressive run of late with three goals and five assists over his last seven games, but in truth, he's been fantastic all season. Since missing the first couple weeks with a shoulder injury, Datsyuk has mostly been a paragon of health, while maintaining his usual elite production offensively. He's on track to finish with more than a point per game scoring average for the seventh time in his illustrious career.
