For all their struggles, it seems like the Colorado Avalanche have hit a home run with the acquisition of P.A. Parenteau. Parenteau had two assists while his partner in crime Matt Duchene scored a goal and a helper. There's a huge drop-off in Avalanche scoring from Parenteau (40 points), Duchene (39) and everyone else, with Paul Stastny in third at just 19.

P. A. Parenteau registered an assist on Tuesday. Parenteau has two goals and six assists in his last seven games. He's been superb in the shortened campaign and should surpass his career-high of 67 points in 2013-14.

P.A. Parenteau had six goals and 18 points in 15 March games. Parenteau has 14 goals and 35 points in 34 games this season and is showing the hockey world that the Avs signing him to a lucrative four-year/$16 million deal in the off-season was a good move. Look for him to continue to pick up points the rest of the way and he should end up as a top-20 scorer in the NHL this season.

P.A. Parenteau kept his strong 2013 season going with a two assist night as the Colorado Avalanche lost to the Calgary Flames 4-3 on Wednesday. Parenteau now has 33 points in 32 games, including a three-game streak with two tallies and five helpers. Just about any worries about the free agent's ability to cope without John Tavares have burned away.

P.A. Parenteau scored a goal and added an assist, but it wasn't enough as the Avalanche lost to Vancouver by a score of 3-2 Sunday. Parenteau is exceeding all expectations with 31 points in as many games this season after experiencing what many believed would go on to be a career season with 67 points on Long Island last year. Along with Matt Duchene, P.A. Parenteau might be the most pleasant surprise of the Colorado Avalanche's tough 2013 season. Many wondered if he'd convert his breakout work with the New York Islanders to a new team. He might even be a better fit in Colorado, with nine goals and 18 points in 20 games. Parenteau scored the Avalanche's only tally in a 2-1 OT loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.

P.A. Parenteau potted a goal in Colorado's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks on Sunday night. Parenteau is proving that he's not just a byproduct of playing with John Tavares, just that he's late bloomer who is really coming into his own in his later 20s. The winger has eight goals and 15 points on the season. Cody McLeod and John Mitchell notched the other goals, while Ryan O'Byrne chipped in with two helpers.

P.A. Parenteau scored his seventh goal of the season in the Avalanche's 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars in Colorado Monday night. Parenteau has been hot. He scored his fifth and six goals of the season last Thursday night in Calgary. Paul Stastny picked up two points for the Avs with his second and third assists. Milan Hejduk also scored for Colorado. It was Hejduk's first goal of the season.
