P. A. Parenteau recorded 24 penalty minutes in Monday's 6-0 loss to Ottawa. Parenteau now has 53 points and 73 penalty minutes in 59 games this season. We don't expect him to keep up that PIM pace, but he should continue to contribute offensively.

P. A. Parenteau is eligible to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but he won't discuss an extension until the 2011-12 campaign is over. His agent, Allan Walsh, tweeted that his client wants to focus on playing right now, but that he is "highly motivated" to re-sign with the Islanders because they gave him his "first real opportunity to thrive in the NHL." Parenteau has thrived offensively this year with 12 goals and 39 assists in 56 games and is currently second on the team in scoring.

P.A. Parenteau scored a goal and an assist as the New York Islanders beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-1. Parenteau's tally was the game-winner. Parenteau might be one of the most underrated wingers in the NHL right now, with 39 assists and 51 points in 56 games played.

P. A. Parenteau ranks fifth in the NHL with 36 assists in 50 games. Parenteau also has 11 goals, including two in his last three contests. After breaking out last season with 53 points, he's found a way to take his game to another level. Although he could slow down a bit during the team's final 32 contests, we still expect him to flirt with the 70-point mark this season.

P.A. Parenteau has maintained his offensive production despite playing on the second line. The playmaking winger has 13 points (three goals and 10 assists) since December 29th. "PA is very creative and he works extremely hard to get his opportunites," head coach Capuano said. "When we went through the stretch that we went through, we had to tweak something and PA took it as a challenge and went down there with Frans and (Michael) Grabner and he's doing the same thing. I can't be more happy for a guy that continues to work hard. When he goes and when that line goes, it usually leads our team to success." He should be owned in 14-team leagues.

Parenteau is known better for his playmaking abilities than his goal scoring, but he went away from the script by potting a pair in this content. John Tavares scored his 17th of the season on the power play to extend his point streak to 10 games.

P.A. Parenteau, who has been a fixture on the Islanders' top line, will have to be content playing on the team's second unit for the foreseeable future. Kyle Okposo is playing exceptionally well alongside John Tavares and Matt Moulson on the Isles' top unit and coach Jack Capuano will not be anxious to make any changes. Needless to say, Parenteau's fantasy value takes a hit as long as he is not playing with Tavares and Moulson.

Parentau hasn't collected many tallies for the Isles, but his playmaking abilities have been impressive (five goals, 20 assists). He's a solid depth scoring option on the wing in fantasy, especially when you consider his useful 23 PIM.
