He could not put any weight on the leg as he was helped off the ice so we would not be surprised if this turned out to be somehwat serious.

P.A. Parenteau assisted on both Colorado goals in a 7-2 loss at the hands of the Blackhawks Friday. Though he's been overshadowed by youngsters Gabriel Landeskog and Matt Duchene, Parenteau has pulled his weight with 24 points in 37 contests this year. Landeskog and Paul Stastny each recorded a goal for the Avs in the losing effort.

P. A. Parenteau contributed three assists in Colorado's 6-2 win against Dallas on Monday. He had gone without a point in his previous four games. Parenteau has 21 points in 32 contests this season.

P. A. Parenteau scored his second goal in as many games on Friday. Parenteau has successfully put a four-game point drought behind him, but his numbers this season still leave something to be desired. He has nine goals and 18 points in 27 games, which puts him on pace to get around 55 points this season. By contrast, he had 67 points in 80 contests in 2011-12 and 43 points in 48 games in the shortened campaign.

P.A. Parenteau scored a goal in Colorado's 8-2 loss to Edmonton Thursday night. Parenteau now has eight goals and nine assists in 26 games. Defenseman Nick Holden also scored for the Avalanche.
