Going into the 2013 campaign there were some questions how the line of Nathan Horton, David Krejci and Milan Lucic would do. After all, Horton was returning from a concussion and Lucic hadn't played anywhere during the lockout. Luckily for the Bruins, there has been no drop off in play of the talented trio on the ice through six games this season. Horton has produced three goals and two assists in his past four contests, while Lucic has four points on the year and Krejci, who played overseas during the work stoppage, has recorded six points.

Nathan Horton's third period goal was a key factor in the Bruins 2-1 shootout win over New Jersey Tuesday. Horton's third tally of the campaign evened the game at 1-1 with about four minutes remaining. Linemates Milan Lucic and David Krejci each drew an assist on the timely scoring play.

Nathan Horton potted his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers. The big Boston winger has seven shots and five hits to his credit as well after three games this campaign, so it looks like he is returning to form after his long layoff from a concussion.

Nathan Horton got his first bit of game action and he initiated some contact during Boston's Tuesday night scrimmage. "It felt really good to be out there," said Horton, who hasn't played since Jan. 22, 2012 because of a concussion. "It's different than anything else. I've been doing scrimmages, a little shinny, practices. It's way different being on the ice in a game situation. It feels so good to be back. I have no worries, no nothing. I just feel myself. Just trying to push as hard as I can, move my feet, and try to get back as soon as possible." The Bruins will need Horton and his linemate Milan Lucic to come out of the gate quickly in the shortened season, but it may take the big-bodied forwards some time to find their legs.

Nathan Horton on Thursday skated full speed with his teammates for the first time since suffering a concussion in January of 2012. Excellent news. Horton sustained his first head injury during Game 3 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, then received another hit the next season and ultimately couldn't get back on the ice. "I feel great," Horton said. "I've had a lot of time to work out and get back to normal. Obviously it's been tough for everyone this year. It's not the way anybody wanted it to be. But I feel great. Better than I have in a long time." The Bruins forward is in the final year of a six-year, $24 million contract.

Nathan Horton doesn't think the concussion he sustained in Jan. 2011 is a factor anymore. Horton was limited to 46 games last season with post-concussion syndrome. "I'm not even worried about my head," Horton said. "Or being in contact. Or getting in a fight. I feel better than I have in a long, long time." His agent, Paul Krepelka, also recently said that Horton was "ready to go."

Nathan Horton's agent Paul Krepelka told ESPN Boston's James Murphy that Nathan Horton is "ready to go" after a lengthy bout with post-concussion syndrome. Horton hadn't played since he suffered a concussion on Jan .22, which compounded issues from Aaron Rome's infamous hit from the 2011 Stanley Cup finals. Horton's chemistry with Milan Lucic and David Krejci has been pronounced at times and his absence was an underrated reason why Boston sputtered late in 2011-12.

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli told reporters Tuesday that Nathan Horton (concussion) has been cleared for contact by the team's medical staff. Great news. Horton missed the final 36 games of the regular season and the playoffs because of the concussion sustained Jan. 22 on a hit from Flyers' Tom Sestito. The GM said Horton is on track to be ready for training camp.

The agent for Nathan Horton (concussion) says his client is doing very well and is on schedule for Bruins' training camp. That's good to hear. There is always a risk that Horton will be more likely to sustain another concussion but if he is healthy that is a big boost to the Bruins and his fantasy owners everywhere.

Right winger Nathan Horton, who missed the final 36 regular-season games and the playoffs because of a concussion after being hit in the head by the Flyers' Tom Sestito, is coming along well, according to his Boston general manager Peter Chiarelli. "[Horton] was in last week as well and is close to being cleared. He's starting some exertion exercises," Chiarelli said. "But he looked great and there should be no problems [being ready for next season]."
