Agent hopes Nathan Horton is on track to be ready for training camp. A concussion sidelined Horton for the final 36 games of the regular season, and ultimately the postseason as symptoms persisted. While Horton's agent, Paul Krepelka, offered nothing revealing, he indicated that they "hope he is good for the start of training camp."

The Bruins are optimistic about Nathan Horton's (concussion) chances of being ready for the regular season. "He said he's feeling a lot better and looking forward to next year," Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said of Horton. He hasn't played since Jan. 22 and, as is typically the case with concussions, there's no timetable for his return. He wasn't expected to play in the Stanley Cup playoffs, even if the Bruins advanced all the way to the finals.

Nathan Horton, who has been sidelined since Jan. 22, has been ruled out for the entire Stanley Cup playoffs because of a concussion. "In his case, it's probably the best thing for, No. 1, him," coach Claude Julien said. "As an organization, you've got to make the right decision. He's tried to come back a few times. He's had some setbacks lately. You could tell he was feeling the pressure of trying to come back for the playoffs. When you're not feeling well, that's not right. It was important for us to let him know we're going to shut him down for the rest of the year." Boston GM Peter Chiarelli is expecting Horton to be ready for next season.

Right winger Nathan Horton (concussion) won't likely participate in the playoffs for the Boston Bruins. Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli put a damper on any speculation that Horton could return if the team goes deep in the playoffs. "He's still having (concussion) symptoms," said Chiarelli. "Not from skating, but he has symptoms after other stuff."

Bruins coach Claude Julien downplayed the fact that Nathan Horton (concussion) skated on Wednesday. "Don't read too much into it. He just started skating. It's still a situation that he's still not even close to where you guys might think it is," said Julien. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to play at some point during the playoffs, but it sounds like he's not close to returning.

Nathan Horton (concussion) took to the ice with strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides before practice on Wednesday, but he isn't believed to be close to returning to Boston's lineup. "He's in a good spot emotionally," coach Claude Julien said. "Everything I do with him is small talk - how're you doing today? - and he's looking good, he seems to have good color, and he seems happy. Those kinds of things are encouraging." Horton has been out of action since Jan. 22 and there's no timetable for his return, but this should be viewed as a positive step.

A source close to Nathan Horton told CSNNE.com the forward will not return to the team "anytime soon." Including tonight's game against Tampa Bay, the Bruins have only seven games left. With the playoffs a little more than two weeks away, the sourced message is not a good one for Horton or the Bruins. If he is able to return for the postseason, the concern will be what kind of shape he will be in. After all, Horton has missed 23 games to date.

Nathan Horton is still doing off-ice workouts in his recovery from a concussion. There's no timetable for his return and it's unclear when he will be able to resume skating as well. Horton won't travel with his teammates on their three-game road trip out west this week.

There hasn't been much progress in Nathan Horton's recovery from a concussion. He has been riding the stationary bike, but there is no timetable in place for when he will be able to resume skating again. However, GM Peter Chiarelli is still hopeful that Horton could be back for the playoffs. He has been sidelined since Jan. 22.

Nathan Horton (concussion) missed his 16th consecutive game on Thursday. We haven't heard much about Horton over the past couple of weeks, which probably isn't a good thing. Although we can't know for sure, at this point we aren't optimistic about his chances of returning before the end of the regular season.
