Nathan Horton may have benefited from his five-game layoff due to what was believed to be a wrist injury. He returned to action for Game 1 against Toronto looking refreshed and was very effective scoring a goal, administering three hits and taking three shots on Leaf netminder James Reimer. Boston coach Calude Julien even admitted that the rest may have helped Horton. "I thought he was coming along pretty well," Julien said. "When he got hurt, I thought he was coming along, I liked his game. But at the same time, maybe the rest did help. But he was a good player down the stretch. Had he kept going, I think we would've seen a good player to finish the season off." Anyway you look at it, Horton seems to be poised for a big post-season. Keep that in mind when setting your playoff pool rosters.

As expected, Nathan Horton returned to Boston's lineup in Wednesday's playoff opener against Toronto. He scored what would hold up as the game winner late in the first period on a Bruins power play when he tipped a shot in front of James Reimer. Horton was also credited with three shots and three hits in the contest. He had been sidelined since April 20 with an upper-body injury.

Nathan Horton is being listed as a game-time decision for Game 1 on Wednesday night, but it appears to be a safe bet that he'll play. He skated for a second straight day alongside Milan Lucic and David Krejci during the Bruins' game-day practice. Horton hasn't played since April 29 due to an upper-body injury.

Nathan Horton (upper body) practiced Tuesday and says he's ready to play in Wednesday's Game 1. Coach Claude Julien was a little more cautious than Horton on Tuesday, saying he wanted to see how Horton feels on Wednesday before making the final decision. We should know his status for certain after Wednesday's morning skate. Horton missed the last five games of the regular season with a suspected hand or wrist injury.

Nathan Horton's upper body injury is believed to be related to his hand or wrist. Horton was on the ice Friday morning, but won't play on Saturday against Washington. He should be regarded as day-to-day beyond that.
