Perreault (upper body) participated in Thursday's practice, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Perreault, who missed Wednesday's game with the injury, said he felt well after taking the ice for practice, seemingly without any limitations. While he would seem on track to return to action Friday versus the Bruins, he'll see how his body feels during the morning skate before a decision on his status is made.

Perreault will miss Wednesday's game against the Sabres with an upper-body injury, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Perreault was limited to just 9:54 of ice time in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jackets after failing to return for the third period following a hit from Nick Foligno. The Jets are just considering him day-to-day for now, and coach Paul Maurice indicated he was hopeful Perreault would be back in the lineup Friday versus the Bruins.

Perreault assisted on the Jets' first goal and scored a go-ahead goal in the second period of Thursday's loss to the Red Wings.
Unfortunately for Perreault and the Jets, they couldn't hold onto the 3-2 lead that his goal delivered. It's just his second tally of the year, but they've both come in the last two games. Could be he's finally finding his stride.

Perreault scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Devils.
Perreault was honored with the game's first star for his second-period tally, but it can't mask what has been a disappointing season for the forward. Despite seeing an increase of over two minutes of ice time with the Jets from a season earlier with the Ducks, Perreault has notched only four points in 20 games to go along with a minus-5 rating.

Perreault will play left wing on the Jets' second line Sunday against Calgary, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Perreault had been serving as the Jets' third-line center, but didn't do much to catalyze that unit with only one point in four games. While that wouldn't normally warrant a promotion, the team's desire to get some better center play in their bottom six will indirectly benefit Perreault. He'll now get the opportunity to play alongside more offensively-talented mates in Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler, filling the spot Evander Kane manned before suffering a knee injury in the Jets' first game.

The Jets signed Mathieu Perreault on the first day of free agency.
He's expected to replace Olli Jokinen, who is still available as an unrestricted free agent. Interesting;y, Perreault and Jokinen both recorded 18 goals and 43 points this past season. However, Perreault did it in 69 games and he's much younger. "I can bring a lot of speed," said Perreault after signing a three-year, $9 million deal. "Winnipeg has always been a team about speed. It's a part of my game that I like to use. I'm a smart player, I can produce, I can play a little bit of power play." He could be a good fit in Winnipeg and there's a chance he'll play with Evander Kane.

The Winnipeg Jets have signed Mathieu Perreault to a three-year, $9 million contract.
He was not given a qualifying offer by the Ducks and became an unrestricted free agent Monday. With the Jets Perreault will likely play a bottom six role and will have little to no fantasy value.

Mathieu Perreault may not return to Anaheim as he is slated to become a restricted free agent on Tuesday.
The Ducks have Ryan Getzlaf and Rikard Rakell at center and have added Ryan Kesler and Nate Thompson in the last few days so that Perreault may be the odd man out in Anaheim. He had 18 goals and 43 points last season so he should be in demand by teams looking for a second line center.

Mathieu Perreault is speaking with the Ducks about a new contract.
He's a pending restricted free agent who Anaheim GM Bob Murray wants to re-sign. Perreault has arbitration rights, so getting him under a new deal is viewed as a more pressing matter than fellow RFAs Jakob Silfverberg and Devante Smith-Pelly.
