Coach Paul Maurice indicated that Perreault -- who left Friday's game with an upper-body injury -- will be "checked out" on Saturday, the Jets' official site reports. Perreault -- who has 15 goals and 14 assists in 45 games this season -- absorbed a Daniel Carcillo cross-check to his arm late in the second period of Friday's game and his status for Sunday's contest against the Coyotes is cloudy as a result.

Perreault was forced out of Friday's game against Chicago with an unspecified injury. Perreault was helped off the ice by the Jets training staff late in the second period after being cross-checked by Chicago's Dan Carcillo. For now, consider Perreault day-to-day in advance of Sunday's game against the Coyotes.

Perreault accounted for half of Winnipeg's goals Tuesday in an 8-2 rout of the Panthers. He scored the Jets' first two goals in the first period, then put the game out of reach with the fifth and sixth, finishing with a plus-4 on the evening. Well, that was unexpected. Perreault had been clipping along nicely of late, rolling up points with terrific consistency, but he hasn't had a lot of these big blowup games. What he does have, however, is a spectacular total of 22 points over 19 games in the months of December and January. We've seen him fade out of similar hot streaks before, but the frequency with which he's been finding the scoresheet has been nothing short of remarkable.

Perreault scored his 11th goal of the season and added an assist in Saturday's win over the Kings. Perreault is rolling right now, recording 17 points (nine goals) in his last 17 games. Skating on the Jets' second line and top power-play unit, the 27-year-old has 83 shots on goal and a fantasy relevant 23 PIM this season. Considering he's only been held off the scoresheet twice in his last 15 outings, Perreault should be owned in almost all deep leagues right now. He's on track for a 20-goal season and should keep producing in a top-six role.

Perreault recorded a goal on his five shot attempts in Thursday's loss to the Coyotes. This guy has looked like a completely different player since December. After providing just two goals and six points over the first two months of the season, Perreault has bagged eight goals and seven assists over his last 16 games. Scoop him off the wire if he's still out there.

Perreault picked up a power-play assist and two PIM, attempted four shots, and doled out three hits in Saturday's win over the Maple Leafs. The multi-category production was nice for those in specialty formats, but it's Perreault's ongoing point production that's perhaps most notable. He's been a force offensively since the start of December, tallying seven goals and seven assists in 14 games.

Perreault potted goals at even strength and on the power play Tuesday in a 5-1 win over the Blackhawks. That's three straight games with a goal now and seven straight with a point for Perreault, who's simply been on fire. He has 11 points in his last 10 games after managing just six in his first 24. He's had these streaks before, only to fade, so we'll be monitoring his progress to see if he can keep it up.

Perreault extended his point streak to seven games Sunday, scoring his sixth goal of the season in a loss to Philadelphia. The second-liner has now scored in back-to-back games and is up to 15 points in 33 games on the season. While he won't produce spectacular offensive totals, Perreault should come close to duplicating the success of the career-high 18-goal, 43-point season he posted in 2013-14. The 26-year-old is a decent secondary scorer who can be counted on in deeper formats.

Perreault picked up an assist and tallied the game-winning goal in overtime Wednesday against the Jets. The goal, Perreault's third of the season, came 17 seconds into the extra period and was his only shot attempt of the evening. The primary credit for the game-winner probably goes to Jacob Trouba, whose booming shot Perreault nicked with his stick before it found net. Perreault has eight points and a minus-3 rating over 25 games this season.

Perreault (upper body) appears set to play Friday against the Bruins, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Perreault was a full participant in Thursday's practice and took part in line rushes at Friday's morning skate, so it appears safe to say that he'll draw back in for the Jets. The forward is seeing about two minutes more of ice time than he enjoyed with the Ducks last season, but a decline in quality of linemates has resulted in a significant drop in his per-game point production.
